Advantages: Good night life and music Disadvantages: Too big
...Recife is a very large city and it also has a lot of old monuments to be visitied, but even better is the close Olinda. There are nice beaches in town in Recife and it can be very hot since it is in the North-East of Brazil. A nice place to stay, not too expensive, around $30 for a double, is the Hotel Central in Rua Manuel Borba 209. This is a colonial building. There are a lot of local bands of music in Recife, and some of them became famous in all Brazil, for example Nacao Zumbi, where Chico Science used to play before dying in a car accident. You should go to the Gracas district for some good nightlife, good music and cheap bars....

...Olinda is a magic city. Situated in the North-East of Brazil, this still medium-size village is full of remains of its glorious colonial past. The best time to go there is during Carnival. It is virtually impossible to find accommodation during this period unless you book months in advance or know someone of the locals. The Carnival is crazy. 5 days of revellery, and, differently from other cities in Brazil, there are not too many people from the favelas around and you feel really safe, plus a lot of local babes scantly dressed and in the mood for good fun, not like here in London!! Everyone is friendly and just want to enjoy...

...In western Australia, there is such variety in a state that is bigger that Britain and Ireland. Whether you want rolling countryside, barron desert, excellent surf or city life, its all here.
I was lucky enough to visit western Australia for Christmas and the Millenium and I will be returning there very soon. I lived in Perth for 4 weeks, went to a seaside resort called Dunsborough which boasts caverns, A huge variety of Vineyards offering the best in Autralian wine, and Yallingup (thats how its pronounced anyway!) which offers brilliant surf.
Dunsborough offers secluded bays, and a relaxing by the sea break, as well as a shopping complex.
This is another lovely relatively "undiscovered" place in Western Australia....
