time we were there. If you ignore them and just get on with enjoying yourself and relaxing, you will be fine but by the end of it we did find ourselves letting doors slam shut behind us without worrying because we had it done to ourselves so many times!
So in short, please don't believe all the bad reviews you read about this hotel. It isn't the most luxurious hotel in the world but for the money we paid for two weeks in an all inclusive resort, it was by no means horrible or the worst place we have visited and I feel that I should really stick up for it because it does seem to have been slated quite a lot.
If you are looking for a proper 5 star luxury hotel with English food, Sky TV 24 hours a day and a home-from-home 'Brits abroad' style environment then don't choose this hotel.

OMG...where do we start, well at the beginning is a logical place. OK this was our second trip to Egypt, all beit our first to Sharm El Sheikh, our first to Taba last year. The first impressions I must admit are scary, the hotel complex is massive. After jumping the queue to book in (VIP's apparantly) we were told our room number and that the bell boys would be bringing our cases so off for a beer whilst we waited. So one (or two) beers later off we trudged through the maze to find our room (20 mins later arrived). That for us was the ONLY down side of this holiday. I cant believe some of the moans that people have made (the sea is too shallow!!!!!!!! what? how can a hotel improve that?). Food is good enough to eat and there is plenty of it, neither of us were bad, yes one or two people did get extremely drunk (but that happens ...
The capacity is for roughly 2000 people so you always see people you know in there, and the bonus is that it's big enough to avoid people you don't want to see!
The Dome nightclub is located on Horsefair in Birmingham, about 5 minutes walk from New Street Station. It's not in the nicest part of town and you have to either walk under a scary underpass or risk your life crossing a dual carriageway to get there. There aren't really any decent bars nearby to go to first.
There's a lot of dodginess that goes on outside the club, with unlicensed mini cabs, boy racers racing up the dual carriageway, and sleazy guys trying to entice drunk girls into their cars.

Queues can get quite long on a Friday or Saturday night so wrap up warm. Bouncers aren't fussy about girls. Large groups of blokes may have trouble getting in ...
