Best Western Metro Inn, Albany

...Another perfectly satisfactory hotel from Best Western. Classy interior which is a good value for money. The rooms feel comfortable and high-quality. My only dislike is the location, since this hotel is located off a busy road with the closest Metro stop a good 10-minute walk away. Walking makes one feel a tiny bit unsafe, as it's not the NICEST area (but not bad, either!) - just the sort where you wouldn't want to be a female alone at night, but perfectly okay otherwise. I think they have paid garage parking for cars, but we legged it around DC. There's a lot of fast food joints close by for quick eats, and downtown DC is a quick Metro or free shuttle (warning, they do expect tips!) ride away. There's also a 7-Eleven on the walk back from the Metro for that late night quick fix of caffeine & sugar. I'd recommend this place... Read review

...to UK AA) from 1 diamond upto 5(being best) I recently stayed with Best Western Hotels on my recent trip to Toronto which as those of you who have read my most recent op on Air Canada will know it was a trying time for me. The hotel I stayed in is the BW-Metro Inn located on the East side of the downtown area of Metropolitan Toronto. Approximately 10km from the main tourist attractions. The main reason I wanted to stay out of the main downtown area was mainly for peace and quiet as I was only hotelling for two nights whilst adjusting to the time difference. As I missed my connecting flight from Montreal to Toronto(see Air Canada op) I called the Hotel to let them know I would be a late check-in, thsy said this would be no problem and would look forward to seeing me soon.
