Hotel Best Western Obelisk - Istanbul

Advantages: 3* Hotel in a 5* location
Disadvantages: Noisy rooms.

This Best Western hotel is one of about six Best Western Hotels all in this old part of Istanbul known as Sultanahmet. It really is in a very convenient location and the LOCATION is its greatest asset. It is a three star hotel in an area containing five star holiday attractions. The hotel advertises its roof terrace as the sort of restaurant under the stars of everyone's dreams. I thought it was jaded and thus overrated with a distant view of the sea which was hardly on the waterfront. The rooms are OK. I had a de-luxe room which had been reduced on-line from an advertised price of Euros 134 to Euros 75.The TV had CNN and BBC World and the bed was very comfortable. I found the decor a bit drab. A buffet breakfast on the roof was fine but the service was non-existent. Didn't really matter though - the stuff was all there, I ...

Review of Best Western Hotel Obelisk & Sumengen, Istanbul

best choice from best western

Advantages: Location, standard, staff and food and drink
Disadvantages: None for me!

I live quite close to the cresta court hotel and also used to work in Altrincham around the corner from the hotel so our company used it a few times for training in the function rooms. I have also stayed here too so I thought I would give readers some information on as many aspects of the hotel as I possibly can! Location: Fantastic location depending on why you are wanting to stay in Altrincham. It is literally round the corner from the main shopping street (george street) and is only 15 minutes away from Manchester city centre and 10 minutes from manchester airport. The hotel is also conveniently located for those guest wanting to go into dunham massey or other surrounding areas such as wilmslow or hale barns etc. There are lots of little bars in altrincham including lots of pubs, little cafes and chic little bars and lots ...

Review of Best Western Cresta Court Hotel, Altrincham

The Best Western Hotel Montana, a great base in Zurich

Advantages: Bacon and eggs on the breakfast buffet, English spoken.
Disadvantages: Expensive, but it is in Zurich!

Best Western Montana, Zurich is very close to the main Zurich railway station which was our reason for choosing this hotel. We paid £323 for three nights bed and breakfast in a double room. For Zurich this did not seem to be bad value for money. The hotel has a restaurant serving evening meals but we did not try them as they seemed a bit pricey for what we wanted, and we found good food available elsewhere, notably at the station. On arrival our reservation was easily found, we had booked through Alpharooms. The receptionist changed to English as soon as we spoke to her and there was no language problem at all. The lift up to our room was glass and we could see right through the hotel, this was a stylish feature which I rather liked. The lift was very smooth. Our room was a reasonable size with a shower room ensuite. The view from ...
