Advantages: fun for all, hundreds of shops and eateries, beautiful beaches Disadvantages: none at all!
MyrtleBeach...wow! What a great time we had here when visiting in October 2007. We booked the Breakers Resort online and were not expecting much as we only paid $50/ £25 a night. The resort exceeded our expectations by miles! The rooms were spacious and clean, with a kitchenette attached- great for eating on a budget. The balcony over-looked the beach and the pool. From the room, we only had to go down in the elevator to reach the indoor and outdoor pools and from the pools, a very short walkway took you directly on to the cleanest, longest stretch of golden sands and clear water I've ever seen. And please bear in mind that this is a budget priced resort. There was nothing budget about the accommodation.

Advantages: A never ending amount to see Disadvantages: The summer crowd
me tell you that spring time is the best time to visit MyrtleBeach: water is not cold any more, you can get some tan and its not very crowded.
So the next time you think about having a vacation go on down to MyrtleBeach as it is by far a great place to visit.

MyrtleBeach was incorporated as a town in 1938 and became a city in 1957. Its name comes from the wax myrtle, a shrub that grows abundantly in the area. Our 25,000 permanent residents welcome millions of visitors to this full-service resort community. History records that the first tourists here were a party of Spaniards from Hispaniola, who landed about 50 miles north of present-day MyrtleBeach in 1526 ...

Advantages: friendly people, rooms, pools, public areas very well looked after, different themes everyday Disadvantages: food variation... but what was out was tasty!
. Unfortunately as stunning as the beach was, it was filled with beach sellers everyday so no sunbeds or relaxing down there! The complex also had a group of monkeys running around which were so funny and were great fun to watch... just make sure you close your balcony door when you go out!!!
Animation were very good, all different activites throughout the day although did leave you alone if you wernt interested. However if you take part you will get colored beads that you can swap in the gift shop, which is probably one of the cheapest hotels gift shops i have stayed in!
Evening entertainment was not too great, even the caribbean do it better, they do try, but we gave up by the 3nd night and chilled out in the bar.
They also do different tours every day to local attractions which look good, but we didnt do as only there for a short time.
