The majority of these precious artifacts and antiquities are works from the best artists of their time. When you stay at the Best Western Santo Domingo, you can enjoy these pieces much like the old aristocracy would. So there\'s no question that you will be staying in style. Step into your elegantly decorated guestroom and you will find that you will indeed sleep in a museum. Every guestroom and suite is appointed in a different style, making each room truly unique. Lush amenities and artistic touches will greet you every time you enter your room. And the nearest museum is right outside your door. Thus, when all the other museums are closed, the Best Western Premier Santo Domingo is always open to make your stay more gratifying.
Advantages: Eating yourself to bursting point in the fully inclusive hotels Disadvantages: Not much to do and rip off prices
...My husband and I were really looking forward to wandering round local markets and picking up unusual souvenirs in the Dominican Republic but, unfortunately, holidays in the Dominican Republic are not for people who want to travel around and experience the country for themselves.
We were in an all inclusive, which was just as well, because there was nowhere to go outside the hotel complex. The complex itself was lovely and there were only 2 hours in the day when you couldn't get food (2pm-4pm) which was brilliant.
The trips on offer were pretty expensive which meant we couldn't really afford to do many and, if you wanted to hire a taxi you had to find a couple of other folk to go with you as the taxis were really people carriers and it was approximately £50 to hire them for a couple of hours to go to the nearby city of Santo...

...In 1802, Napoleon Bonaparte was invited to stay at the 'Hotel du Commerce', Bruges, during an official visit to the city. He accepted the invitation. A superb triumphal staircase and a sequence of beautiful, 'Bonaparte halls' were especially commissioned within the then 200 year-old Hotel to mark the occasion. However, in what must surely have been a heartbreaking and insulting blow to all concerned, Napoleon cut short his official visit, and in the end he didn't even stay in Bruges at all.
Today, nestled behind the winding and cobbled St.Jakobstraat, a quiet side street in Bruges' town centre, stands the old 'Hotel du Commerce', or to draw upon it its new and rather clumsy, official title, the BestWesternPremier Hotel Navarra Brugge. It is a charming position for a hotel, just a brief stroll from Bruges' beautiful Market...

Advantages: Location, price Disadvantages: No air conditioning when requested
...I stayed at the BestWesternPremier Eiffel Park in early May of this year for six nights. My mother and I booked into a twin room via the BestWestern website as it had the cheapest rates, around 120 euros a night for non-refundable internet rates (there were several listed rates). I chose the hotel based on positive reviews from a few review sites, location and price being my primary needs.
Having been to Paris once before I knew that at this price range we were looking for comfortable and adequate, likely small rooms. There were a few others that seemed a bit more charming/unique but they were booked as we left it a bit late. I was a little bit wary of the BestWestern chain in Paris as had read many reviews of other BestWestern hotels in the city that weren't very nice and shuffled people about to other hotels. (There are dozens...
