Advantages: None Disadvantages: Split into different buildings, expensive.
Travelling through France to northern Spain we decided to spend a night at the medieval city of Carcassonne in the Languedoc area.
First Impressions
From a distance the walled city looked stunning, but to be perfectly honest that was the best bit. For those of you that have visited and enjoyed your stay I will apologise now but we absolutely hated it, if I had wanted a theme park I would have gone to Disneyland! The city was full of the most horrendous ?tat? gift shops selling everything from fake suits of armour to tee-shirts with knights on them and really awful ?attractions? (I use this word loosely) such as the haunted manor and weapon museum.
It was a little better at night when the shops had closed and the restaurants opened, however, teenagers staying around the city became very bored, got very drunk and succeeded in ...

, tea and coffee complimentary, trouser press, telephone, satellite tv , iron and board, bathroom toiletries and internet access.
the standard rooms are pretty much a basic rooms that consists of these facilities that are of a decent size. The executive rooms have the same but are more spacious and also have a seating area, with dressing table and work desk. The cresta premier suites have even more space and have the spa bath in the bathroom with a bigger television and are situated further away from any of the function rooms so are in a quieter area. Now the family rooms are in the same size rooms as your executive or premier rooms but have obvioulsy got more beds so you are paying for standard room amenities but made to fit more people in. They have a choice of type depending on the size of the family but the maximum in a room is five ...
Advantages: 3* Hotel in a 5* location Disadvantages: Noisy rooms.

I found the decor a bit drab. A buffet breakfast on the roof was fine but the service was non-existent. Didn't really matter though - the stuff was all there, I ...
