Most unpleasant
Review of Best Western Park Hall Hotel, Chorley by  RobinG23

Advantages: gym
Disadvantages: noise, decor and cold (chalets)

...Never again would I stay in this hotel. For the first three nights the only availability was in the 'village', and in winter these outdoor motel rooms should come with a health hazard - they were absolutely freezing, even with the little radiator on full power. We finally got into the main hotel for our last night - the rooms were nicer, but long overdue a make over. To our dismay, this Butlins style hotel, had a disco on that night with music banging until 1.30am (on a week night), only to get a load of drunken teenagers carrying on till 3am in the room next door. I cannot fathom how they can rent rooms out above the disco hall - the noise was unbearable! The only plus point is the gym, however, it does not nearly make up for this appalling place.... Make your own breakfast waffle!
Review of Best Western Mountain Shadows, Durango by  Ruthiejane

Advantages: Waffles for breakfast, pool and hot-tub
Disadvantages: Expensive area

...Durango is a town in Southwestern Colorado, best known as the starting point for the Durango and Silverton narrow gauge railroad. It is also a good base for activity holidays including skiing and white water rafting. We visited as part of a trip around Utah, Colorado and Wyoming in September 2007. The Best Western motel is at the opposite end of town to the railroad, on "motel row". Our reservation through ebookers worked perfectly, unusually we didn't pay until we checked out, Our room was huge, with two king sized beds, there was a big mirror on the wall, a deep pile carpet and all the furniture was dark wood. All very nice! There was a big television with too many channels to count, we had a radio alarm clock, tuned in and set to the correct time, and a phone with a notepad next to it. There was a table and two dining chairs... Read review

Queenstown - a sparkling Kiwi gem
Review of Queenstown by  Writing321

Advantages: New Zealand scenery at its best
Disadvantages: Some say a bit pricey!!!

...because of the high visitor numbers, but for honestly some of the best scenery you could expect to see anywhere in the world. It's remarkable. Actually, The Remarkables are the huge, craggy mountain range that dominate the Wakatipu Lake scene from anywhere you are in Queenstown. Millionaires, film stars own homes there, overseas business entrepreneurs and ordinary 'kiwis' call Queenstown their home, which of course makes it a bit pricey to buy real estate and shopping prices soar seasonally. While the outdoor adventure, tours and dining may seem to some travellers a bit expensive you can do things that don't cost a penny. Like, walking in the beautiful park which takes up all the peninsula beside Lake Wakatipu, with views back to the township and out over lake and mountain range. Or just wandering through the small, compact town, having... Read review
