The hotel itself is right on the seafront in Eastbourne, about a half mile or so walk from the pier. Parking isn't normally a problem as you can park on the seafront itself or down one of the side streets just by the hotel (which is the better option if you need toget aweay in the morning as pulling out from the seafront is a bit of a nightmare during rush hour).
The rooms I have stayed in have always been clean, large a nd spacious. Don't expect any luxeries but you can expect the usual toiletries, hair dryer (I take my own though as the one in the hotel is a travel one and woud take me hours to dry my hair!!). There are tvs in the rooms as well, along with a clock radio.
This hotel, as many of the hotels in Eastbourne, are really suited to those who may particpate in leisure travel and coach tours. I always choose to find a local restaurant for my evening meal as the menu and company in the hotel's restaurant have yet to appeal to me. I'm not saying never, just it hasn't happened yet.
There are many local restaurants just behind the hotel which will suit all tastes and budgets so I wouldn't feel compelled to stay in the hotel if you have a choice in the matter.
Breakfast is the usual affair - continental or full english. Be warned if you want more than one rasher of bacon or more than one sausage make sure you let your server know otherwise your plate can look a bit sparse!! I would prefer breakfast a bit earlier than the 7.30am starting time but then like I've said I'm a business traveller at this hotel.
The hotel does have a pool but no other facilities (i.e. no gym) but I don't think you would really expect much more from tyhis standard of hotel
The reception staff have always been very friendly and recognise me now so my check-in is a bit speedier. The restaurant staff could do with smiling a bit more but they are efficient in their job.
All in all I would say this an average hotel but you could do far worse for a business stay.
