Bewleys Hotel Ballsbridge Dublin 4

Advantages: excellent
Disadvantages: none

This is an excellent hotel in the Ballsbridge area of Dublin. It is very close to the RDS so ideal for events held there.

They offer one price for all rooms and is very good value for money.

They have a car park and offer hotel guests a set price per day.

The hotel can be accessed by a number of bus routes from the city centre.

The food at the hotel is excellent and offers a good bar food ...
...excellent in size and ensuite.

The service is excellent by all staff.

The hotel is family friendly and i have seen a lot of people i have seen on previous visits go back.

I highly recommend this hotel to any visitors.  ... more

Great Value 3-Star Hotel

Advantages: Highly recommended 3-star Dublin hotel handy for the city centre
Disadvantages: Not a lot!

Bewley's Hotel in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, is arguably the best value 3-star Dublin hotel within spitting distance of the city centre. At a set price of a mere Euro109 per room per night (due to increase to Euro119 from 1st April 2008) Bewley's Ballsbridge is extremely good value for money. The maximum number of guests per room is two. This means that for just under Euro60 per person you get a good standard 3-star hotel room, with all the usual 3-star amenities like an ensuite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, TV, hair dryer, in-room safe, etc. An added bonus at Bewleys is that you also get free internet access (broadband) in all rooms and in all public areas using their wireless internet LAN. Family rooms are also available that will comfortably sleep two adults and three kids. (Kids are free ...

Handy For A Flying Visit

Advantages: Good value 3-star hotel very convenient for Dublin Airport.
Disadvantages: A wee bit out in the boondocks.

back on your return. If you're staying in Dublin for a longer visit then you'd probably do better to look at one of the Bewley's hotels nearer the city centre, in Ballsbridge or their original city hotel in the Temple Bar district of the city centre. Bewley's Airport Hotel isn't at all handy for accessing the city centre and is a wee bit out in the boondocks. It will take you a good half an hour to drive into the city (outside of rush hour) and it isn't particularly well serviced by public transport. A taxi to the centre will cost you at least Euro15 and most likely nearer Euro20 to Euro25. (Depending on when you travel) Bewley's Airport Hotel is the newest of the Bewley's chain here in Dublin, opening for business around 2006. It's also the largest of their hotels, and at only Euro89 per night (Euro99 from 1/4/2008) per room (double ...
