Advantages: beautiful city Disadvantages: difficult to drive
...Paris as the capital of France is one of the most beautiful and romantic city in the world. With the eyes-like wheel situating in the middle of the town and great buildings the museum de Love, Paris is a great city to visit. Glancing the city from Effiel Tower give a wider view of the city and that is particularlly beautiful at night.
Their underground system is faster than those in London but it is also less well controlled. Many people jumping across the barrier and that really shows bad example to the tourist. Driving in Paris, other than on Sunday morning is unimaginable as there are 10 lanes round about (such as Charles De Guile place) which is absoultely nightmare.
Some places may be unfriendly to english speaker too....

...I have been to Paris only once, but when i went i was so impressed that i wanted straight away to go back again and see more of this exciting, busy, lively city. Paris is a capital city for France to be proud of, it has many great sights, such as the towering Eiffel tower. I got such a thrill when it came into view through the coach window, and being actually underneath it was just as impressive. Paris is also the home of the famous Arc de triumph. I may have spelt it wrong but i am pretty sure it translates to Arc of Triumph. Also in Paris is Notre Dame. A famous, successful film was made about this. It is called 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame'. This marvellous city has many more sites. it is the ultimate cultural experience. Don't miss out....

Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: none that I know of
...The youth hostels in France are known as Auberges de Jeunesse.
Besides Hostelling International you should also look for the local
auberges de jeunesse which are plentiful. If you're in France don't
look for the words 'Hostel' you should look for 'Auberge de Jeunesse'.
Once I took the train from Paris to Lille, a marvellous place, got off the train and asked a beautiful French girl where was the nearest Hostel. She pointed at a hotel. 'No,' I said, 'I am looking for a hostel.' She didn't know what a 'hostel' is. So I stayed in a hotel, a very nice one, ensuite, TV, etc. Then started looking for a hostel. I went looking for one in the evening before finally realising that 'hostel' in French is 'auberge de jeunesse'....

I brought this for my cycling mad husband and watched it with him, not really expecting to enjoy it. I was surprised it was interesting and a great look back at what life was like in the early days of cycling. I think is well worth buying for both the... more
