Advantages: Very decent portions Disadvantages: Not very New Yorky
...I recently visited New York and our first place of call for eats was Planet Hollywood Time Square. Now entering the place was great, you had all the memorabilia, which was really interesting. You walked up the stairs and into the bar area and up to the further floor. It was all very facinating and even the large black man in the toilet offering hand towels was mildly interesting yet intimidating.
Once sat down I felt as though I was in a McDonalds. I had looked at the interesting Terminator Bike and now found myself sat at a chequered table with a music channel playing in the background, surrounded by Baseball pictures and records.
At this point I felt as though my time in New York could have been better spent than in a glammed up Maccy D's. But I thought, I'm on holiday lets have fun!
The waiter came over and I ordered...

Advantages: quiet, peaceful, not "cityish" Disadvantages: almost no one in most of the towns, small populations, stores and gas stations very spread out
...A place in New York where people know everyone if you are a part of the community.
The weather is constantly changing and almost never consistent. But there's at least almost always something to do if you can drive during any given season, and if you do not mind a few misquitoes or black flies throughout the year.
Hiking, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, biking and several other things are just some of the activities that people par take in.
However, although there are several disadvantages there are many advantages to visiting. Such as if you want family time, there is like no problem finding time for that.
Also, if you are interested in a little history, there are a few historic spots spread out through the Adirondacks, that were fairly important to the government. One such example is when Teddy Roosevelt became President...

Advantages: character Disadvantages: quite expensive
...York is my favourite northern city without doubt . Over the years I've been to them all and York is far and away the best .
It has got something for everyone . York manages to somehow combine history with modern shopping and still retain it's character .
You will never get bored in York in my experience .
Walk round the castle walls for great views and a chance to stretch those legs but still remain only five minutes from the shops .
York is more than just history though with the minster and castle . It has got the latest computer and mobile phone shops , take -aways , burgers everything you would expect and want from a city .
Also a key point is it is so flat . No hills in the centre great if you struggle to walk far or are elderly.
Lot's of people bike it in York as a result .
All in all a place I can't get enough of . Unique !...

Postmodernism, eh? It's a funny old bag of fish. Even the holier-than-thou critics don't quite seem to know what it's all about. They argue whether it's
a) a revolt against modernism,
b) a progression of modernism,
c) both of these and more
or d) more
