Birmingham Airport must be the best airport for access anywhere in England. Sitting virtually on the M42 (and hence easy access to the M5 and M40) and very close to the M6 (and hence easy access to the M1), it lies within a mile or so of the central hub of the UK motorway system. As it also has a station on the Birmingham to Euston line within a few hundred yards, it is also super simple to reach by train. Car parking at the airport is extensive, and reasonably cheap. There are excellent drop-off and collection parking bays directly outside the arrivals and departure gates. Taxis are always available, and the journey to the City Centre hotels etc can usually be accomplished in less than 15 minutes. The airport itself is compact, and well laid out. The general facilities are excellent, and the information systems are extensive and very reliable. Altogether a thoroughly civilised, well-organised, and user friendly airport!
