I've travelled from a few different airports, home and abroad...and I must say I think Birmingham has one of the best. For a start, its not TOO big and sprawling. Its check-in staff are always fast, efficient and courteous and everything is well signposted. There is a good choice of food (although like all airports, it's not cheap) and it is actually tasty! There's always plenty of trolleys for your luggage (I've been to Corfuairport and not been able to find a single trolley, and others where I've had to pay).Once in the departure lounge they've tried to compensate for the lack of duty-free allowances by providing some new (quality) shops at very good prices. Highly recommended.
