Express at Holiday Inn

Advantages: Good deals
Disadvantages: Can be expensive without discount

...but have recently changed to Holiday Inn Express. This is good for those not paying the bill, but can be expensive if it is coming out of your own pocket. I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express next to the NEC in Birmingham - watch out if an event is on at the NEC - the price rockets to £100 per night!! still I was not paying. The lounge area is comfortable with a small but expensive bar (the Village Inn next door is much better value). ...
.../ coffee etc. All have computer points and even supply pens & paper for your use. The shower is excellent. Breakfast, which is included in the price is contenental but you can eat as much as you like and it was fresh and to a high standard. A good touch, if you say at these premises a lot is the loyalty card. Your company pays the bills and you rake up the points for free accomodation when you are away on a leisure break. In all they are of a ...

My stay at the Holiday Inn, M6 J7

Advantages: Access to gym and pool, good breakfast
Disadvantages: Some noise from neighbours

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Birmingham M6, Jct. 7 last weekend. I paid £54 for two people bed and breakfast. This was direct from the Holiday Inn website and was the best I could find. It was slightly cheaper because it was advance payment, although as it was on my credit card I've still not actually paid! It was very easy to find, literally 2 mins off the M6. While the exterior did have a slight council flat look to it, the reception area was lovely. ...
...that seemed to be miles away, although we found a slightly quicker route later! The room was clean and tidy. It had a desk and chair along with a small 'dining' table and chair. There was a 'room service' service although it did look rather expensive (to be expected I suppose!). The bathroom was on the compact side, but again it was clean and all in working order. There was soap, shampoo, bubble bath and hair-dryer although you could also get razors, ...

Extra Night On Holiday

Advantages: Very modern and clean, excellent food and staff
Disadvantages: None that spring to mind

...is my review of the Novotel situated on Birmingham International Airport, opposite the main terminal building. Facilities And Services Some of the facilities at this Novotel include: Restaurant, Bar, 24-Hour Front Desk, Newspapers, Non-Smoking Rooms, Rooms / Facilities for Disabled Guests, Elevator, Express Check-In / Check-Out, Safety Deposit Box, Soundproofed Rooms, Luggage Storage. And the services provided include: Room Service, Meeting ...
...we had stayed in a Novotel before and thought we knew what to expect but this low price worried us slightly I think. Check In We parked at the car park just off the motorway and were transfered to the Novotel by coach. On arrival we realised just how close we actually were to the terminal building, we would literally just have to cross the street in the morning. We walked up the steps to the main entrance (there is a slope also) and were ...

THE JURY IS 4 TO 1 IN FAVOUR

Advantages: Super location, cheap drinks, on-site parking, high speed internet access in rooms, good food
Disadvantages: Very large hotel, poor administration, charge for car-parking, room windows don't open

...now the fourth in the Jurys chain I have used, and to be fair, probably the best, but also not without a few minor niggles, but more about that later. WHO ARE THEY? For anyone who is not aware of the Jurys Doyle chain, they are an Irish chain with over 30 properties in the UK, Ireland and the states and claim to be one of the fastest growing hotel chains in Europe. They have three levels of offering, the budget Jurys Inn range, the Jurys Hotel, ...
...BOOKING The Jurys Inn Birmingham is one of their budget outlets. One night was booked on my behalf, and the other I had to do myself. This meant contacting the hotel after booking to tie the two reservations together to ensure I wasn't checking in and out of my room with a full day meeting ahead. This went smoothly eventually but did take a some work. Because of the need to match the two reservations, I did try booking on the phone, but the best ...

City Inn - a hidden gem.

Advantages: Price, features of room, location
Disadvantages: err... food is a bit bland and pricey

...pleasure I report that the City Inn in Birmingham is a hidden gem. Location The hotel is located in the trendy Brindley Place development just off Broad Street in Birmingham, and as such is ideally situated for pubbing, clubbing and general merriment and yet being secluded (for a city) enough for a bit of peace and quiet. Brindley Place itself is home to a variety of trendy bars and restaurants including the (in)famous Bank and various luxury apartments. ...
...aspect of any hotel, and City Inn is a match and even beats hotels that are 3 times the price. The room we had was on the 3rd floor with a view over Brindley Place. All rooms come with floor-to-ceiling windows, which is a fabulous touch. The bed provided was a Queen Size, a little small, but very comfortable. Crisp, clean white linen and a duvet were provided, a small point maybe but there have been many (expensive) hotels I have stayed at in the ...
