Best day out in Blackpool!
Review of Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Blackpool by Craiglf

Advantages: Loads of different rides suitable for young or old. Reasonable prices.
Disadvantages: Food and drink is average.

Pleasure Beach Blackpool is right up there with the best theme parks in the UK, why? Well with it's 125 rides and attractions there is something there for all the family. If your a thrill seeker you've got pepsi max big one, a rollercoaster taking you to the frightening height of 235ft! The new ride infusion is a breathtaking suspended rollercoaster taking you through no less than 5 loops plus a double line twist! You've also got some of the older ...
...racing rollerocaster built way back in 1935 but still great fun. Wild mouse is insane and painful, your guaranteed to get a sore back with this one! The incredible irn bru revolution that speeds you forward through the loop and then when you think its all over forces you backwards through the same loop, feel the G-force! and finally the classic rollercoaster the big dipper, fun for all the family. So thats just some of the major attractions at the ... Read review

Sandcastle...brilliant
Review of The Sandcastle Water World by jacksback40

Advantages: All day fun for the kids for one price
Disadvantages: None

...a thing or two about the attractions such as if they are worth the money or nothing more than an anti climax, but the Sandcastle (or water world as it is now called) is the dogs b******s I have three boys, 19, 16 and 8 and as they have been growing up (you know...as they do) i have had the majority of their birthday partys at the Sandcastle, and all been a winner. To start with me and the missus used to bundle them into the car, get about three ...
...the door ready to start their party. It was all pre-booked and cost around the £30.00 to £40.00 mark for the whole party, and that everything for the full day. We used to take our own drinks and party snacks. This was to include a full day in the Sandcastle water park, a meal of their choice (Chicken Nuggets, Sausage and Chps, Ice Cream, Coke) and a keep-sake photo with captain sancastle and drinking cup for the birthday boy/girl. Absolutely ... Read review

518ft and 9 inches of pure pleasure!
Review of Blackpool Tower and Circus, Blackpool by thebigc1690

Advantages: Plenty to do, fun for all the family, not too expensive and a brilliant circus!
Disadvantages: None unless you are scared of heights.

...absolute lover of all things Blackpool I have been meaning to get round to doing a write up on the tower for ages now, finally here it is. Blackpool has changed greatly through the years, sadly mostly for the worst. Becoming ever more geared towards stag and hen parties and milking every penny it can from it`s visitors but if you choose what you do in Blackpool carefully it can still be a great place to visit. One part of Blackpool that just gets ...
...but unlike the rest of Blackpool it continues to change for the better. The tower first opened it`s very impressive doors to the public on 14 May 1894 and unbelievably after just thirty years standing there was plans to pull it down because it had not been painted correctly and the salt from the Irish sea on which the tower stands on the banks of had corroded the tower very badly. Thankfully however the powers to be at that time re-invested in the ... Read review

Big One Big Ride
Review of Pepsi Max Big One, Blackpool by LJOne

Advantages: High Long Rollercoaster
Disadvantages: Some height and medical restrictions

The Pepsi Max Big One on Blackpool Pleasure Beach was built by Arrow and opened in 1994 as the tallest and fastest ride in the world. It is claimed to be over 230 feet high, with over a mile of twisting and turning thrills, at speeds of up to 87mph. Other measurements put it at nearer 215 feet high as the Pleasure Beach is about 15 feet above nearby sea level. Some also claim that the top speed of 87mph is an over estimate. When it opened the Big ...
...Recognised as one of the first Hyper Coasters in the world it's size has now been been exceeded in America. However, the British still recognise it as a fantastic ride and an amazing rollercoaster experience. Three members of the now almost forgotten boy band Bad Boys Inc performed the opening ceremony. When you visit Blackpool Pleasure Beach you may wonder how Geoffrey Thompson contemplated construction of this impressive ride in the middle of ... Read review

The Perfect Holiday Makers Paradise
Review of Houndshill Centre, Blackpool by Mickie26

Advantages: lots of shops, shelter from rain, perfect for holiday makers, good shops
Disadvantages: Probably will be expensive, lots of building work for locals.

Houndshill shopping centre used to be full of shops like gift shops and clothes shops now though it’s in the middle of refurbishment. There are still a few shops that remain namely Mark One, Dorothy Perkins, Early Learning and Superdrug. Blackpool is undergoing a lot of changes right now and Houndshill shopping centre is in phase 2. Eventually the perfect Houndshill shopping centre will have large floor plates in a covered environment. The only ...
...opened in spring 2008. Houndshill shopping centre is situated in the centre of Blackpool by the Blackpool Tower complex. It’s right by the prom and opposite Kentucky Fried Chicken. Houndshill shopping centre was never anything special, but it sounds to be very promising. I am looking forward to see the changes since I’ve lived in Blackpool from the age of 2 and Houndshill shopping centre has been a big part of my shopping life. My only concern ... Read review
