Do not visit the Norbreck Castle Hotel, why?!!!
Advantages: roomy, comfortable, easy to travel to centre of town, friendly staff, great food. Disadvantages: none
...We stayed at the Norbreck one week ago for four nights, myself and two of my two children, a boy aged 13 and a girl aged 9.
When we arrived we checked in before the alloted time of 3pm onwards, it was at 2pm, life worked fine, and if it didnt there were others we could have used, keycard worked fine and we had been allotted a quiet room.
Fresh sheets, no stains, Could see out of the windows, one window had a seaview, Fresh towels, and as many as ... ...with hot choc sachets and biscuits too, changed everyday and cups washed, Rooms cleaned thoroughly everyday, bathrooms cleaned, including bathmat, no stray hairs, plenty of loo roll and hotel toiletries.
Didn't see or hear other guests
Didn't see any maids till we left
No problems whatsoever with the room
Beds comfortable, even had a double bed for me and two single beds for the children when it was only supposed to be a double and single
Wardrobes ...

Our Blackpool Trip
Advantages: Excellent staff - especially at breakfast, reception staff especially Stewart also very helpful and friendly Disadvantages: Food was basic, parking - got blocked in and could not move our own car!
...trip to Blackpool. Attracted by the Cliffs facilities for the money we decided on booking it. Well we were extremely happy, I strongly advised entering the basement, kids soft play area, table tennis, arcade games, pool, snooker, swimming pool and gym! You'd never believe it would all fit down there!
The rooms were clean, the toilets would have been too small to sit on if I was a few dress sizes bigger!!
The food at breakfast was fresh and hot ... ...move our own car!! However the hotel did try it's best and transported us themselves to and from the restaurant we had intended to eat at.
Overall great fun, at little out of town but a tram stop is right outside the front of the hotel and with Blackpools long prom you can walk to the pleasure beach easily. ...

Impressive, Illustrious Imperial!!
Advantages: The whole experience. Disadvantages: My stay was completely disadvantage free!
...regular basis. Now I am the first to admit that when I visit Blackpool it is more about the place itself than the accommodation and therefore I usually just opt for a very inexpensive B&B but I do on occasions like to treat myself to a luxury break in a hotel and have stayed in the Big Blue hotel that overlooks the Pleasure beach (already reviewed) and also in the Imperial Hotel which is what I am going to tell you a bit about here.
I stayed in ... ...to friends who I recommended the hotel to and are recently back from their stay that it is every bit as good now as I told them it was then.
The Imperial hotel is noted as being Blackpool`s most famous and impressive hotel and at first sight you will appreciate why it is rated impressive. Situated on the North Promenade this stunning Victorian hotel which was built in the 1800`s and has since been fully restored sticks out like a sore thumb in it`s ...

Marymoose goes to the seaside!
Advantages: Excellent value hotel Disadvantages: The rude barman, and the toilet door!
...We stay in the Hilton Hotel in Warwick, and it costs £100 each for 2 night’s bed and breakfast, and dinner on the first night (I only remember because it was such a round amount). Anyway, we have a fantastic time, with lots of memories made, and become good friends.
10 years later
Ok, it’s not quite summer yet, but it’s nearly 10 years later and with hubby going off to Egypt scuba diving with another woman, I was left with a bank holiday ... ... Other
The Hilton is a 2.5 mile walk from the Pleasure Beach. On the Saturday we walked all the way since the day was so lovely, and it was nice to see the area. On the way you pass Blackpool Tower (which is probably about a mile along the way). We got the tram most of the way back, for novelty value, but also as we’d been on our feet all day. In the evening we headed to a restaurant 5 miles the other way along the road in Thornton Cleveleys, ...

Lions Roar
Advantages: It's a four star hotel Disadvantages: Its' a standard four star hotel
We, a group of about 50 people, stayed for the weekend. For the name droppers Chubbie Brown was staying at the hotel at the same time, at least he was in the Bar
The High Light to wake up Sunday morning to hear a noise, then to realise it was the roar of lions from the zoo next door.
The hotel is a fairly new hotel with well decorated and equipped rooms, unfortunately as a "new" hotel all the rooms are standard hotel rooms. The hotel was totally ... ...leisure complex was fairly well equipped and that the staff were, in the main, helpful and efficient. There was something about the place that just did not inspire me. Apart from being next to the zoo there is nothing which jumped out and bit me as being particularly memorable.
We ate a few times in the restaurant. Breakfast was hot buffet type (not as good as the Blackpool Hilton). The staff, particularly at Breakfast were poorly trained, at one ...
