Our Blackpool Trip
Advantages: Excellent staff - especially at breakfast, reception staff especially Stewart also very helpful and friendly Disadvantages: Food was basic, parking - got blocked in and could not move our own car!
...trip to Blackpool. Attracted by the Cliffs facilities for the money we decided on booking it. Well we were extremely happy, I strongly advised entering the basement, kids soft play area, table tennis, arcade games, pool, snooker, swimming pool and gym! You'd never believe it would all fit down there!
The rooms were clean, the toilets would have been too small to sit on if I was a few dress sizes bigger!!
The food at breakfast was fresh and hot ... ...move our own car!! However the hotel did try it's best and transported us themselves to and from the restaurant we had intended to eat at.
Overall great fun, at little out of town but a tram stop is right outside the front of the hotel and with Blackpools long prom you can walk to the pleasure beach easily. ...

Lions Roar
Advantages: It's a four star hotel Disadvantages: Its' a standard four star hotel
We, a group of about 50 people, stayed for the weekend. For the name droppers Chubbie Brown was staying at the hotel at the same time, at least he was in the Bar
The High Light to wake up Sunday morning to hear a noise, then to realise it was the roar of lions from the zoo next door.
The hotel is a fairly new hotel with well decorated and equipped rooms, unfortunately as a "new" hotel all the rooms are standard hotel rooms. The hotel was totally ... ...leisure complex was fairly well equipped and that the staff were, in the main, helpful and efficient. There was something about the place that just did not inspire me. Apart from being next to the zoo there is nothing which jumped out and bit me as being particularly memorable.
We ate a few times in the restaurant. Breakfast was hot buffet type (not as good as the Blackpool Hilton). The staff, particularly at Breakfast were poorly trained, at one ...

A great, modern seafront hotel
Advantages: Lovely rooms, very spacious, great facilities Disadvantages: Quite a hike from the train station, noisy lifts
After searching high and low for a classy looking hotel in Blackpool I found the Big Blue Hotel and was immediately won over by their website and photos. We planned to stay a night in the hotel and spend one day at the Pleasure Beach and looking at their offers on the website I soon noticed that they offered a room and unlimited wristband. Jumping at the chance, I booked right away through the site and we got our confirmation email. We booked to ... ...for the room, breakfast and full day unlimited wristbands was £131 and that was for two. *The Hotel* Check In: From 3pm Check Out: At 11am We found that the hotel itself was brilliantly located for access to the Pleasure Beach, but quite a hike from the nearest train station and as we don't drive, walking along the front with our luggage was not so great. When we got the the hotel we were greeted by the receptionist who sorted out our room booking, ...

The imperial Hotel Blackpool is the place for me
Advantages: Good hotel . Nice location Disadvantages: Bit Expensive for there bar prices.
I am writing to recomend the Imperial Hotel Blackpool as a place to stay. I had a great time there on my birthday. In my opinion the staff there was very friendly and helpfull. The food was very good. The breakfast in my opinion was the best bit. As it was help yourself you could have as much as you want are as little as you need. If you are into keep fit the gym was good and the staff was there t help you if you needed any advice. The bedrooms was ... ...think that it`s one f the best places to stop. It must be good as the labour party stopped there for the conference. Who knows you could have slept in the same bed as Gordon Brown. The only bad point was i that i found money under the bed which goes to show the cleaners where not up to there jobs. But in one way it was money in mine. ...

The strangest hotel I have ever been to
Advantages: Close to Blackpool Pier, onsite restaurant Disadvantages: Poor food quality, terrible entertainment, no wheelchair access
Liberty's on the Square is an odd mixture of a nightclub/hotel/rabbit warren/saga venue. This is one hotel with an identity crisis. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone; it is marketed as a Saga hotel, yet in my opinion, is completely unsuitable for the elderly due to access issues and the seedy, inappropriate entertainment. ENTERTAINMENT
The inappropriate entertainment for the audience of 60+ers and young families was terrible. The entertainment ... ...rude and not funny comedian (I am not a prude, but his jokes were not funny and it was obvious his idea of humour was to be as smutty and insulting as possible). He told what I found to be offensive jokes containing very vulgar language and picked on several people throughout his act making personal remarks about their appearance. I was lucky to escape such ridicule, however I felt dreadfully sorry for the individuals who were targeted. The next ...
