Our Blackpool Trip

Advantages: Excellent staff - especially at breakfast, reception staff especially Stewart also very helpful and friendly
Disadvantages: Food was basic, parking - got blocked in and could not move our own car!

...trip to Blackpool. Attracted by the Cliffs facilities for the money we decided on booking it. Well we were extremely happy, I strongly advised entering the basement, kids soft play area, table tennis, arcade games, pool, snooker, swimming pool and gym! You'd never believe it would all fit down there! The rooms were clean, the toilets would have been too small to sit on if I was a few dress sizes bigger!! The food at breakfast was fresh and hot ...
...move our own car!! However the hotel did try it's best and transported us themselves to and from the restaurant we had intended to eat at. Overall great fun, at little out of town but a tram stop is right outside the front of the hotel and with Blackpools long prom you can walk to the pleasure beach easily. ...

Lions Roar

Advantages: It's a four star hotel
Disadvantages: Its' a standard four star hotel

We, a group of about 50 people, stayed for the weekend. For the name droppers Chubbie Brown was staying at the hotel at the same time, at least he was in the Bar The High Light to wake up Sunday morning to hear a noise, then to realise it was the roar of lions from the zoo next door. A great, modern seafront hotel

Advantages: Lovely rooms, very spacious, great facilities
Disadvantages: Quite a hike from the train station, noisy lifts

After searching high and low for a classy looking hotel in Blackpool I found the Big Blue Hotel and was immediately won over by their website and photos. The imperial Hotel Blackpool is the place for me

Advantages: Good hotel . Nice location
Disadvantages: Bit Expensive for there bar prices.

I am writing to recomend the Imperial Hotel Blackpool as a place to stay. I had a great time there on my birthday. In my opinion the staff there was very friendly and helpfull. The food was very good. The breakfast in my opinion was the best bit. As it was help yourself you could have as much as you want are as little as you need. The strangest hotel I have ever been to

Advantages: Close to Blackpool Pier, onsite restaurant
Disadvantages: Poor food quality, terrible entertainment, no wheelchair access

Liberty's on the Square is an odd mixture of a nightclub/hotel/rabbit warren/saga venue. This is one hotel with an identity crisis. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone; it is marketed as a Saga hotel, yet in my opinion, is completely unsuitable for the elderly due to access issues and the seedy, inappropriate entertainment.
