Do not visit the Norbreck Castle Hotel, why?!!!
Advantages: roomy, comfortable, easy to travel to centre of town, friendly staff, great food. Disadvantages: none
...We stayed at the Norbreck one week ago for four nights, myself and two of my two children, a boy aged 13 and a girl aged 9.
When we arrived we checked in before the alloted time of 3pm onwards, it was at 2pm, life worked fine, and if it didnt there were others we could have used, keycard worked fine and we had been allotted a quiet room.
Fresh sheets, no stains, Could see out of the windows, one window had a seaview, Fresh towels, and as many as ... ...with hot choc sachets and biscuits too, changed everyday and cups washed, Rooms cleaned thoroughly everyday, bathrooms cleaned, including bathmat, no stray hairs, plenty of loo roll and hotel toiletries.
Didn't see or hear other guests
Didn't see any maids till we left
No problems whatsoever with the room
Beds comfortable, even had a double bed for me and two single beds for the children when it was only supposed to be a double and single
Wardrobes ...

Marymoose goes to the seaside!
Advantages: Excellent value hotel Disadvantages: The rude barman, and the toilet door!
...We stay in the Hilton Hotel in Warwick, and it costs £100 each for 2 night’s bed and breakfast, and dinner on the first night (I only remember because it was such a round amount). Anyway, we have a fantastic time, with lots of memories made, and become good friends.
10 years later
Ok, it’s not quite summer yet, but it’s nearly 10 years later and with hubby going off to Egypt scuba diving with another woman, I was left with a bank holiday ... ... Other
The Hilton is a 2.5 mile walk from the Pleasure Beach. On the Saturday we walked all the way since the day was so lovely, and it was nice to see the area. On the way you pass Blackpool Tower (which is probably about a mile along the way). We got the tram most of the way back, for novelty value, but also as we’d been on our feet all day. In the evening we headed to a restaurant 5 miles the other way along the road in Thornton Cleveleys, ...

The imperial Hotel Blackpool is the place for me
Advantages: Good hotel . Nice location Disadvantages: Bit Expensive for there bar prices.
I am writing to recomend the Imperial Hotel Blackpool as a place to stay. I had a great time there on my birthday. In my opinion the staff there was very friendly and helpfull. The food was very good. The breakfast in my opinion was the best bit. As it was help yourself you could have as much as you want are as little as you need. If you are into keep fit the gym was good and the staff was there t help you if you needed any advice. The bedrooms was ... ...think that it`s one f the best places to stop. It must be good as the labour party stopped there for the conference. Who knows you could have slept in the same bed as Gordon Brown. The only bad point was i that i found money under the bed which goes to show the cleaners where not up to there jobs. But in one way it was money in mine. ...

The strangest hotel I have ever been to
Advantages: Close to Blackpool Pier, onsite restaurant Disadvantages: Poor food quality, terrible entertainment, no wheelchair access
Liberty's on the Square is an odd mixture of a nightclub/hotel/rabbit warren/saga venue. This is one hotel with an identity crisis. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone; it is marketed as a Saga hotel, yet in my opinion, is completely unsuitable for the elderly due to access issues and the seedy, inappropriate entertainment. ENTERTAINMENT
The inappropriate entertainment for the audience of 60+ers and young families was terrible. The entertainment ... ...rude and not funny comedian (I am not a prude, but his jokes were not funny and it was obvious his idea of humour was to be as smutty and insulting as possible). He told what I found to be offensive jokes containing very vulgar language and picked on several people throughout his act making personal remarks about their appearance. I was lucky to escape such ridicule, however I felt dreadfully sorry for the individuals who were targeted. The next ...

Contender for Worst Hotel 2009
Advantages: Centre of Blackpool, cheap, inside entertainment. Disadvantages: Overbearing staff, smelly rooms, pre-made food.
Layout and Appearance
The hotel, from the outside, looked like any other hotel, if not a bit bleak looking. The car park was NOT very well laid out, half of the spaces where against the wall so you could be blocked in, so it was a good job our friends parked behind us then we knew who the occupier was and they could let us out on checkout! Once inside I had to think to myself, is this the hotel or a pole dancing bar? It looked so seedy. I then had ... ...barely a metre wide, down 3 sets of small stairways just to reach reception. Once in our room a damp, foisty smell hit me. Other than that, it had everything we needed, they had helpfully rented us in a travelcot at no extra cost, and everything was clean, if not old fashioned. The bathroom smelt of urine which you HAD to get used too, but was clean and had fresh towels. The windowsill was also covered in mould and damp.
The restaurant and bar areas ...
