I am a great fan of Blackpool pleasure beach, I have been going to the park ever since I was a child and I still continue to go now, It is never the same as it was the time before this are all ways getting added or updated, so it?s a new experience each time you go.
The one thing that I can remember about Blackpool Pleasure beach when I was a child was the laughing clown at the parks entrance, this used to scare the hell out of me, so whenever I return I always smile when I still see that same laughing clown sitting there.
Blackpool is great for a weekend break of the occasional family holiday, it has a number of other attractions, such as arcades, the tower, a casino, a sea life center, the north and south piers, shows, go karting, a zoo and not forgetting the pleasure beach.
The pleasure beach has over one hundred rides, which suit children, toddlers and us adults. They are forever introducing a new ride attraction to Blackpool pleasure beach, the must recent ones being ?The Valhalla? which roller coaster, which rushes around water at very high speeds, guaranteeing you to get totally soaked.
You can also Learn to Ice Skate with the professionals, at the ice arena, which is open daily to the public for ice skating, you can even learn how to skate, they do lessons for beginners and improvers, any this is open to people of any age. If your buy the daily ticket for the pleasure beach you will get vouchers for ice skating and the ice shows, so you can get in at a fraction of the price. There is also a professional ice show, which is also highly recommended, by many people.
THE RIDES.
Dr. Cornetto, This is the most recent ride that I know of, It catapults you through the air spinning you around at very high speeds, The only downfall with this ride is the waiting time, as you can only have four people on it at a time, and it is quite a long ride so you will be there a while, but it is well worth the wait.
The avalanche, Also this is a high speed, turbulent bob sleigh roller coaster. It is very short compared to some of the other rides, but still worth trying.
The Valhalla, It is a high speed water coaster, in the dark which is guaranteed to get you soaking wet from head to toe, They do sell water proof jackets for a pound, but they are no use what so ever. So if you do decide to have a go on this make sure it is a nice hot day. This ride is also a new addition to the pleasure beach.
The Pepsi max big one, This is a high-speed roller coaster, and one of the highest in the world. Once you reach the top of this coaster, the views are spectacular so it is worth trying just to get a glimpse of that scenery.
The ice blast, This is also a new addition the theme park; it is a high-speed vertical ascent/Decent ride. I can?t say much about this, as I have never been on it, it is far too intense for me, and all I will say, is that people were coming off green.
Here are some of the other white-knuckle rides that are also very good. Big dipper, the revolution, space invader, the steeplechase, Grand National, the grand prix, the log flume, the wild mouse and the black hole. And lots more.
If you have purchused the day pass, you will have to pay extra to go one the mini golf course and the go karting, as these are not encluded in the price.
The entry in to the pleasure beach is free, and rides can cost up to 4.50 per person, which is very expensive, but you can but an unlimited riding wristband for the day which costs 25 pounds, at the moment the pleasure beach have got a two for one offer on so you will get an even better saving, this may sound expensive but it isn?t, it is great value for money.
So why not spoil yourself go to Blackpool pleasure beach, it is a fantastic day out, and if you fancied staying the night you can pick up a bed and breakfast, from just 15 pounds per night.
