Now lets be honest, we all done things at 5 years old which we enjoyed then but that would not entertain us now but Blackpool still entertains me to this day ... Read review

Advantages: Amazing atmosphere and more fun than you can shake a stick at. Disadvantages: A bit grubby at parts but what the heck!
...not entertain us now but Blackpool still entertains me to this day (30 years on).
I now have a 5 year old son of my own who has already visited Blackpool on several occasions and is well and truly hooked on the place just as I was and just the other week I took my 11 month old daughter there, too young to understand it all now of course but she too will soon be a Blackpool addict I am sure.
Ok so what does Blackpool have that makes people want ... ...many things to do in Blackpool including a fantastic zoo, a fairly decent deep sea centre, a DR Who exhibition, dozens of very, very good amusement arcades and much, much more but the main attractions of Blackpool are the massive theme park (the pleasure beach), the three giant piers crammed with things to do and probably the main attraction for most the world famous Blackpool Tower.
Different people will of course find different things that they ...

...a famous seaside place called Blackpool That's noted for fresh air and fun And Mr. and Mrs. Ramsbottom Went there with young Albert, their son.
They didn't think much to the ocean,
The waves they were piddlin' and small. There were no wrecks and nobody drownded, 'Fact, nothin' to laugh at at all!" * At about the time when Stanley Holloway had music hall audiences rolling in the aisles with his monologues about the Ramsbottom family, I came to Blackpool ... ...something of my visits to Blackpool as a boy. Suffice it here to say that I adored the place: the piers, the open-topped "toast-rack" trams, the tower, the beach that stretched to the horizon, the arcades along the front ("catch-pennies" as my grandmother called them), Pablo's two-inch thick ice cream wafers, fizzy pop from bottles with wire-hinged ceramic tops, Bloomfield Road stadium where the likes of Matthews and Mortenson still performed - I ...

It’s a long way down the golden mile and those white stilettos will do your feet no good. If you really insist on wearing them, you can always take the tram or the bus down the mile, or even splash out and get a taxi, but then you will have less money for the arcades and booze. So take a pair of trainers, and if you really want to, stick ... ...Yes ok so Blackpool is tacky. However, having read some of the other opinions about Blackpool, I felt I should defend it. It's not for perverts and is suitable for all age groups. There is a friendly atmosphere that you do not get in other places. It was a quiet weekend when we were there but it was very clean and the beach was not at all dirty. The nights at high season can be quite rowdy but no more than any other city at night. On Sunday there ...

Advantages: Something for everyone: Rollercoaster, Victorian Piers, and oh yeah, English PUBS! Disadvantages: Hey, who turned out the Lights?
Did you know that Blackpool has more tourist rooms than any other holiday venue in Europe?
Blackpool is a unique English venue! Where else can one experience the largest Rollercoaster in the UK (Europe?), plus Streets with more lights than GATLINBURG, Tennessee and a Victorian Seafront next door?
Business called me to Blackpool, and I was booked into the Doric Hotel, advertised as a family hotel, two stars, sounded a bit basic, but for the picture ... ...of the Lights - sorry, Blackpool Illuminations! Which consist of SCADS of lights throughout the town and along the Promenade (beside the Sea) from September through the middle of November. Since they look like something you would expect at Christmas or at Gatlinburg, Tennessee, it seems odd they turn them out mid-November, rather than leaving them lit over December/January-holidays?
And we saw The Big One Roller Coaster (I declined to ride it, as ...

I visited the Broadway Hotel in October 2007, and was very disappointed with the standards of accomidation in which the Broadway Hotel had to offer. I have never stayed in such a dirty and poorly presented Hotel, in all the years in which I have visited more
