Blackpool is definitely the best place in the UK to go for a night out especially if you are on a hen/stag night. There are loads of pubs and clubs and there is a good mix/variety of them, so there is something for everyone.
Blackpool is fairly easy to get to wherever you are coming from. Even from London, you can drive it in around three and a half hours or get the train in under 4 (via Preston). Blackpool is at the end of the M55 which is off the M6. There are 2 stations in Blackpool and you get there directly from Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham and via Preston from Scotland, the North East and the South.
You cannot move for B&Bs in Blackpool so you are never short of somewhere to stay cheaply if you want or there are more expensive and some quite nice hotels as well (Stakis, Imperial, De Vere). You can turn up at a lot of places without booking ahead as well.
All the pubs and clubs are close together in the middle of town, just off the prom (sea front).
My main recommendations are;
For the young and those wanting to "disco" go to The Waterfront (on the prom) which is a massive club with 2 rooms playing different tunes. On average you'll pay £6 to get in at the weekend but you'll probably have to queue. Open til 2/3am.
For those that are a little bit older and wanting to dance but to Abba, YMCA and the like, go to Brannigans (on the prom as well), Only £1 to get in after 11pm at the weekend and free at all other times. Open til 1pm.
For anyone up for a laugh, a dance and being squashed go to the constantly busy Yates (on Talbot Road). This is free to get in but is open to 1pm. This is definitely the best pub. Other good pubs are O'Neills (also Talbot Road) (same as all O'Neills), The Counting House (also Talbot Road) (cheap cocktails) and NTK (next to Brannigans) which plays current dance music and is free to get in and open til 1pm as well.
Wherever you go you are bound to have a laugh and meet lots of similar minded people. The locals are always friendly and the beer is cheap too!

Advantages: Brash & cheerful; lots to do (if you have the money) Disadvantages: not for the easily offended; fairground rides busy and expensive; noisey;
