Well what can I say that has not already been said? I adore this place its full of bright and eye catching things to do.
Okay let me try to describe it *******************************
For those of you that have never been to Blackpool, it has three piers, South pier, Central pier, North pier. The south pier has lots of things going on as it is near the fair, it has a big wheel, and mini bungie jumping, for the braver person lol (not me at all).
Then there is the central pier where you can find the theatre, that has many many things going on famous stars are there all the time. When I went in September it was Freddy starr and it was brilliant,
The North pier is for the quieter person, but I must admit I spent a lot of time here, but when you do go to this pier you are asked to donate a small amount of 25 pence towards the upkeep of the pier and to me it is a small amount for a great attraction.
These three piers are situated accross the road from the ammusements and rock shops and joke shops that you can buy wigs platted, curly and masks all kinds you name it its there. Nobody thinks you look mad or weird as they are all there to have fun and they are all buying mad things.
The prices for rock and sweets is very low they start at around £1.00 and usually go up to about £2.50 for a good size well worth it size rock. You also have your market stalls,
yes I know what your thinking oh well we have them in Birmingham, but the point is your on holiday and something drives you to look, the prices i feel are very cheap and competative. You have a place there called winter gardens now I cannot tell you a lot about this simply because i have never been there sorry.
Also if your not the walking type of person or are disabled then this is the place for you, it is wheelchair friendly and as I said if your not the walking type then there are trams that will take you up and down the front and anywhere else you desire to go and the prices are very cheap.
The main reason for people going to Blackpool is because of the lights every year they have different lights light all up and down the streets and they are fantastic, also there tower Blackpool tower its fantastic it has a ballroom a circus, they have lots of different levels in there for you to visit, there newest attraction is the walk of faith.
Now lol it is called this because of the piece of glass that has been put into the floor and as your in the tower and about i dont know lol a million floors up it seems to me would you have the faith to walk it because i never.
There is also a fantastic zoo here with some beautiful animals and there surroundings are fantastic, big spaces and well fed they are very happy animals.
There is a free bus that takes you to and from the zoo you can find details about this from the information hut on the sea front and on many more attractions going on while your there.
There is so much more i could tell you about this place but hey why dont you go see what your missing and i tell you you wont regret it i promise.
The coach station in Blackpool is great you walk out of it via a pathway instead of the exstortionat taxies all lined up outside and there are the hotels bed and breakfasts they start at £8. per person pernight and upwards depending to weather you have bed and breakfast or evening meal, then of course depending on what kind of accomodation you want the price can be through the roof like £150 upwards.
I will say its not one of the most desireable places talked about, but I would rather go here than abroad any day, I will leave you to make up your own mind.
