Sorry to all of you who read this and live in Blackpool but i found this thew worst place in Britain to visit.
I went there a few years ago and wish i hadnt bothered. We stayed in a small bed and breakfast which although it was cheap was just dirty and grotty. We spent most of the weekend outside and tried to just sleep here.
When we did venture into the main town and near the beach i thought i had entered Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The sea was like mud and sludge. It was brown and slopped about, not the klind of sea i would wish to go in or near.
The town was just as bad the people were not very friendly and it seemed every place we went to was just filthy. We walked into on restaurant/ fish and chip shop and instead of it being clean it was like they hadnt swept the floors in a year. The letter box was missing from the door so all the rubbish was blowing in through the whole and we actually walked straight out.
We was meant to stay there for 4 nights but came home after just 2. I would like to complement the prices of items there though. We managed to get a cup of tea for only 30p a cup so i guess on the bright side that was it.
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
Welcome to Ciao. Agree with your analysis that Blackpool is grim, enjoyed it when I was 4 but when I returned 26 years later it was dreadful. As previous comment observes, a more detailed account would be likely to attract a higher rating, after looking at others efforts maybe you will decide to update and if so please tell me. I will revice my rating gladly.

Advantages: Great place to visit for all age groups, familys couples and the young at heart. Disadvantages: Very easy to blow all of your spending money, whilst walking along the seafront, with all the amusement arcades.
