What's in the Park
On ... ...lovely day you had at Blair Drummond.
Also on the lake are 5 seater pedals boats for you to have fun splashing around in, or if you have the nerve why not try the "Flying Fox", a zip wire across the lake (this has height restrictions in place).
Across a footbridge, at the other side of the lake, is the newly constructed Lemur Land, where you will find ringtail, brown and red-ruffed Lemurs. They have a great time climbing through the tall, bushy ...

Advantages: You can spend all day here Disadvantages: A bit expensive
...we decided to go to Blair Drummond Safari park. We took a trip there last year but Harley was a bit young and did not get the enjoyment from the experience, so we thought we would try again. I have lost count of the amount of times I had been there as a child. I think my parents took me and my little brother at least once a year, and we always had a great time, and we always spent the whole day there.
Blair Drummond has been opened as a safari park ... ...hill at the safari park is owned by Camphill Trust which is a charity which helps people with special needs.
Now the safari park is less than an hours drive away from us, so easy to get to. If you are coming from Glasgow or Edinburgh then take junction off the M9 and it is well sign posted from here. From Perth you just take the A9 towards Glasgow and then follow signs for Stirling. The closer you get to it the more signs you will see for it. The ...

Advantages: close to stirling, easy to navigate around Disadvantages: too many children, small enclosures
Having had a weekend in Scotland with my boyfriend we decided that rather than wasting the day in our usual manner - in the pub or in bed- we should actually do something. So as it was a nice day we thought lets go play with the animals, as niether of us had visited Blairdrummond for quite some time. So after a fairly short 45 minute drive from Fife to Stirling (must speak to him about the speeding thing again) and is well sign posted from Stirling ... ...gorgeous hot day there was a short que to pay and enter the park. We paid at the gate it cost us £20 thats just £10 each. Then drive through to the main carpark. After parking up we headed straight to the most essential area - the place where the ice cream is sold, Hi im scubaangel im an icecream addict!
This is where most of the attractions are (except the drive thru enclosures obviously). There are fairground rides for children (and big kids) ...

Advantages: exciting day out for kids Disadvantages: once in,very confusing.
...eight month old! But Blair Drummond is a great day out for kids (I think this is aimed from 3years+) and we will definitely be bringing our daughter back when she is a bit bigger so she can appreciate everything the park has to offer. With the entrance fee being so high you want to make sure you have a whole day there and get your moneys worth so I will wait for a nice sunny day too! I think I will have to stump up the £2.50 next time as the sign ...

BlairDrummondSafariPark is within easy driving distance and is a great day out for families.
Stirling is within easy driving distance, and boasts good shops and of
course "Stirling Castle " which dominates the town with its sheer splendour. It is also associated with William Wallace and is certainly worth a visit.
TARRIF:
Caravans and Motor Homes range fro £10.50 to £16.00 per night.
Tents range from £7.50for 2 man tent to £20.00 for a 10 man tent per night.
