The lakesidehotel is set in beautifull lakedistrict on the banks of Lake Windermere. I decided to treat my wife to a 2 night break away. We went for the best room in the hotel hoping for a romantic break. Well it hasnt been the worst £500 ive spent but i must say i was a little dissappointed with the hotel for the money.
The Room:
The room looked really quite dated and old, i realise this is an old hotel but that should add to the character and charm of your stay. The bedroom was small, had a nice view if you could put up with the draft coming through the windows. The bathroom was a reasonable size but the sunken bath looked as if it hadnt been washed properly for a long time. The adelphi hotel in Liverpool is the most famous of hotels in Liverpool with it's bid grand entrance and foyer this is by far the most historic hotell i know of. The queen has stayed at this hotel among the most famous of european football teams, actors journalists and the lst goes on. The adelphi is very very famous and is a good stay however the more modern traveller may be more suited to the other hotels in mersyside. but for a unique historical experience of one of the oldest hotels in Liverpool this is a good stay .

Lakeside, as many of you probably already know is a shopping mall located in Thurruck and it has been around longer than I can remember, the mall itself is located in the middle of a retail park also, making the shopping experience an even bigger one, there is something for everyone here.
What is there?
The main part of Lakeside is obviously the mall which is filled to the brim with over 250 shops, clothes shops for all ages and styles, furniture, electrical, jewellery, books, everything.
Also Lakeside has an eating court for hungry shoppers ...
