Was recommended by my bf that had seen Blood Brothers no less than 3 times that we should definately go (id never seen a musical in the west end before!) - after seeing it, I can't get enough of the songs and the memories! Would definately recommend to anyone :) and would love to go again!
Well.... after we struggled to get tickets for ages for less than the 'sold out' internet sites were offering and emailing endless sites which weren't particularly helpful in getting back, me and my boyfriend decided, as we were going to london anyway, that we would just go down and try and buy from one of the many sites around the london.
We queued for hours at different places that were offering deals and tickets to sold out shows to ones such as this but finally managed to find our way to one that offered a good price - much cheaper than on the internet (for once!!) so we asked if we could save some as we went to the Phoenix Theatreto see if they had any (they did but more expensive!) and to other places, price comparing. Eventually finding we had the best deal around we went back and bought the tickets - £35 each and told to come back later to collect them. On collection we found out they had run out of the ones we had bought but been upgraded to stalls!!
Once we got inside and sat next to a school trip for infants we were both really worried that it was going to be ruined but the musical was so good we really didn't notice them!
It was great how emotionally involved the actors and actresses were - just made it seem so real! The music was great and the singing was excellent! Never heard such strong singers (especially the narrator)!
Blood Brothers was written by Willey Russell who set the musical in Liverpool telling the story of two twins, Mickey and Eddie, and the families they grew up with after being separated. Both lead opposite lives but become 'blood brothers' when they meet, not knowing the truth. Their friendship lasts and develops even though they are banned, by both mothers, from seeing each other.... The familes separate after getting desperate to stop the twins seeing each and learning they are twins......
All the actors were amazing however my favourite, apart from the narrator, were the twins and how well 7 year olds were portrayed by people 3 or 4 times their age!
Would definately recommend to anyone over the age of about 12 Would love to go again!
I feel you didn't actually review the show properly, there was more information on how to get tickets and bus routes than the actual show. While you mention the general story line I would have liked to know who was in the show at the time, some of the key songs, the staging, choreography and so on. There's so much more to this show and if you ever decide to edit and add more information let me know and I have another look.

Hi - good review but some more info on the theatre location, url etc might be good. I took my OH (I don't do musicals) to see this and he loved it too.
