I have now been to Dublin twice and both times i have stayed at Blooms Hotel as i was so impressed with it the first time. Blooms is a 3-star Hotel.

LOCATION

Firstly the location of Blooms is perfect for a nice weekend in Dublin. It is located in Angelsea Street which is in the Temple Bar area which means that within a few hundred yards you have a large selection of bars and restaurants which is perfect. Also within a ten minute walk is Grafton Street which is the main shopping area of Dublin.

STAFF

As soon as you enter the reception area of Blooms Hotel you are greeted by the friendly staff who are very nice and helpfull. They have either been very well trained or are naturally pleasant and willing to help. The staff will also give you a wake-up call in the morning if you require one, a service which we used to make sure we were ready in time for our journey home.

ROOMS

The rooms are quite standard and are very clean with good facilities including an ensuite bathroom. Also included in each room are Television, Hairdryer and a telephone.

FACILITIES

Blooms Hotel has a very good bar which has plenty of entertainment going on in the evenings with a selection of different Irish musicians playing. You can also order a selection of food at here including Irish meals as well as a selection of other choices. The Hotel also has it's own nightclub in the basement which i confess i didn't get round to trying out, preferring a few quiet drinks. The nightclub may be a bit noisy in some of the rooms both times we have stayed there we didn't hear a thing in our upstairs room.

ROOM CHOICE

The hotel has a selection of rooms. You can choose from Single, Double, Twin or Triple rooms. Our room was a double which cost about £80-£90 per night for the room which is actually quite reasonable for Dublin. Included in this is your breakfast which is a buffet serving cereal, fruit, sausage, eggs, bacon amongst others.

BOOKING

You can book the hotel at www.blooms.ie, but i booked through www.octopustravel.com which i found was cheaper than booking direct.

VERDICT

I thoroughly enjoyed both my stay's at Blooms Hotel and would totally recommend it to anyone due to the friendly staff, great location and good facilities. I would book this hotel again the next time i go back to Dublin.

I have never been to Dublin. This sounds like a good place to stay though. Kim
