Designed by David Collins (the man behind the design of top bars and restaurants including The Wolseley), the style is akin to something one would imagine to be found on 1930s ocean-liner and the crocodile skin floor and stylish (yet somewhat uncomfortable) furniture do make for a special atmosphere.
The drinks list is expensive yet impressive with drinks starting at around £9 for a G&T and £6 for a beer but it is cocktails where this bar excels. All the usual classics are accompanied by some Blue Bar specials.

In terms of clientele, the only problem with success and popularity is that sometimes the bar is too busy and some quite undesirable types (generally loud bankers and ladies of a certain type) appear. Overall though though the majority are elegant and add to the appeal of the venue.
Advantages: Centrally located in Soho Disadvantages: Poor service, cold food
the bar if buzzing socialite is your scene. I would not recommend it for private dining, a romantic meal for two or indeed, under any other circumstance.
Service: 2/10
Food: 3/10
Atmosphere: 7/10 for the bar and 4/10 for the private dining
Value for money: 3/10 (although the £10 set looks good)
Overall – sorry only 3/10

Nice find this restaurant.....situated in Soho and handy for the main tourist & entertainment drag (Leicester Square, Covent Garden etc) Blues is haven of calm in a busy, busy area
Set in an expanse of steel and lots of beech with calming colours and a cream & blue colour theme the restaurant offers a daily 3 course special (pre-theatre times) for only a tenner! The choice is good - although portions a touch on the 'nouvelle cuisine' side - and the quality excellent
Modern British style of cuisine is to be found (french influenced) with good fresh produce featuring highly...nice wine selection, heavy on a quality Oz selection but not heavy on the wallet..especially for central london.
Staff were brisk and efficient when booking (e-booked) but a bit slow on the delivery for a pre-theatre customer - may have been the kitchen staff but ...
