What a night!! Having only seen the Blue men once on an advert, I was completetly naive about what to expect. Bought the tickets a couple of hours before the show (only went to ask for some information lol) I was tempted by "We have 2 front row seats available for the next show and we can give them to you for $190" So out came my flexible friend (he'd been very busy that week lol) and I got the tickets. Only concerns ,which were quickly alleviated was the suitability for children - which she assured me it was suitable for all over the age of 5, she also metioned there would be some strobe lighting (so not suitable for epileptics). Last bit of information was that we where sat in the "poncho area" so we got a free poncho. As soon as she mentioned the word "poncho" I felt I was missing a joke, as several people around me started laughing and a couple said "good luck". What had I let myself in for? General converstions I had next left me with the impression I was about to be soaked in paint, as it goes everywhere in the show - as soon as my daughter heard this she changed her mind and didn't want to go anymore!
However I persuaded her she'd love it (the lies we tell sometimes) and we went in to take our seats.....................
The show was an amalgamation, of music, humour and visual effects.
The music was loud, a mixture of keyboard, drums, and a variety of novel instruments including pipes, tubes and string. To discribe the sound would be difficult, it's contempory and fresh a hybrid of rock, techno and pop - but don't be fooled into thinking there will be any singing.
The humour and visual efects were combined as the 3 Blue men did a fantastic triple act all working brilliantly together. I won't go into to too much detail here as to give it all away, however I will say watch out for the "twinkie bar" (I bought a packet the next day - a bit like a jam roly poly, but in a small bar and it had cream in it - mmmmhhhh!). Other thing to watch out for is audience participation - you may end up on stage! We didn't (thankfully) however a blue man stood with a foot either side of my daughters arm rest and stared at her for about a minute - It was very funny and she loved it! If you usually need glasses/contact lenses, take them along as there is very funny visual participation that requires reading - The blue men don't speak!
The show lasts about 1 hour 45mins and has a great finale involving paper - Tie it around everything lol - You'll understand what I mean if you go :)
To wrap up The blue men group is a culinary delight for the eyes and ears, a combination of lemon (yeap you get that experience like no other once you taste it!) and also the best meal you can think of (was going to put down fillet steak with stilton - but probably not everyone's cup of tea) It's like Marmite you either love it or hate it, and I loved it. The shows suitable for all ages, my daughter was 7 when she saw them (she now has their CD and a poster on her bedroom wall lol) Sat next to us was a couple in there 60's (and they'd seen the show 3 times) One note though the show is loud, especially near the front so I would advise those with delicate ears to grab a couple of cheap ear plugs just in chase! We manage without, but a few people had them.
We sat in the poncho area and expected to get soaked - there is a few points in the show where they go a bit wild with the paint - One highlight I won't go into to detail on, as it was GREAT! However we didn't get a thing on us. Dress code for the show is very flexible, and I wouldn't recommend wearing your best clothes just in case! (The paint they use is supposed to be washable though) The poncho covered my head arms and stopped mid thigh, but covered all of my daughter. My daughter did get a small bit of paint on her nose when the blue man touched her (they are covered in blue grease paint so it does look wet all the time!)
If you want to see a show like no other then this is a must see, I would see them again and again! Loved it.

But most importantly go and have a great night that you'll remember forever!
Advantages: Unusual, funny and definitely different Disadvantages: A bit Pricey, but I was at the front
...members pour red, yellow and blue paint on top of drums beaten by the third, splashing the men with the paint and in some cases the audience!
There was a scene with marsh mellows where one of the Blue Man tosses 30 marshmallows into the mouth of another Blue Man, and paint-filled gum balls into the mouth of the third Blue Man. Out of the two Blue Men's mouths come a weird sculpture and the other a painting caused by spewing onto a blank picture ... ...in the faces of the Blue Men are conversation enough.
There is audience participation and an excellent lighting show and in one scene a neon cowboy ends up dancing on the stage.
After the show you are able to meet the Blue Men, he still doesn't say anything though.
Cost was about Ģ70 which is about average fro Las Vegas shows
I would recommend this show, but don't wear your best clothes in case you are "got at" by the Blue Men. ...
