Advantages: A great place to see fish; nicely laid out Disadvantages: May be a little pricey for some
...flash of inspiration. The Blue Planet Aquarium! I had driven past the Blue Planet Aquarium on numerous occasions but had never actually visited the place. Situated at the end of junction 10 just off the M53 motorway, the Blue Planet is in a prime location, not only for locals, but also for tourists visiting Cheshire. ***First Impressions***
To be honest, the first thing that sprung to mind when we arrived in the car park was: ... ...of the exterior of the Blue Planet building itself was not very encouraging. It put me in mind of a large rectangular shed. But oh, how wrong I was. I quickly changed my opinion of the place once inside and would add that it put me in mind of the Tardis. Plain and bland on the outside, but a fantastic adventure going on inside. On entering the Blue Planet, as with all tourist attractions, our first port of call was the pay desk. After handing over ...

...to me to visit the Blue Planet Aquarium and with it not being far from home we decided to go one Sunday morning. My fella is always getting me up early so we can spend the day at wherever we are going.
Situated near Cheshire Oaks Outlet Mall, the Blue Planet is signposted and very easy to get to from the main roads.
Upon arrival we went inside to a large foyer and although it was very busy there were no queues to actually get in which was a bonus. ... ...the aquarium.
The place itself is clearly signposted to the different attractions however we found it difficult to find the restaurant and toilets which at the end of the day they are making a lot of money out of the restaurant too and i would have thought that these should be clearly marked to tempt people into going in and purchasing food and beverages.
The restaurant itself was a very tight squeeze with wooden tables and chairs too close together ...

Advantages: Layout Disadvantages: Pricey, not that much there
...heard great things about the Blue Planet Aqarium before we went and my kids were really excited about going.
When we arrived it looked as id we were going to waiting ages as the large car park was hammered but I was pleasantly surprised. hey had all the desks open and had an express chack in desk for people who had prebooked (we hadn\'t). I was very taken aback the prices we were charged £36 (this has now gone up to £40) for a family ticket (two ... ...didn\'t have to pay for my little boy. The foyer was very spacious , and that was our first stop for the toliets, which were lovely and clean. The layout is good but needs improvment for people with pushchairs and buggy's, I had trouble monuvering ours in the space available s I don't know how someone in a wheelchair would go on. There is a small lift though.
The exhibits are good but pretty much the same as you would find in any aquarium. The best ...
