My experience: As a man I'm designed to hate shopping, however the Bluewater Shopping Centre has made the whole experience so easy and pain-free, I've actually started to quite like it! I had never been before and must admit I was rather intrigued to see what it was like as I had heard many people talk highly of it in the past. Living in London I found it hard to justify driving around the M25 purely to go shopping for the day, but as soon as I arrived I realised why I had driven so far. To start with there were 13,000 car parking spaces - no need to worry about where you are going to park the car and with well over 320 shops the place basically has everything you could ever want; almost all the top high street retailers and department stores. If this isn't quite enough for you it also houses a thirteen screen multiplex cinema! Bluewater is one of the largest shopping centres in the UK and I believe one of the best. The architecture of the place is a treasure in itself!
The centre is shaped like a huge triangle so its easy to find you're way around. Each side of the triangle is a separate mall: Rose Gallery, Thames Walk and Guild Hall; at the end of which there is a John Lewis, House of Frasier and Marks and Spencers (these are the biggest shops). In between these along the three malls all the other shops are situated, you really can buy almost anything you want. I bought a pair of trainers from JD Sports, a jumper from River Island, a shirt from Burtons and a pair of trousers from Next. As usual my girlfriend bought far more stuff than me from a variety of different shops. We were both very pleased with our purchases and decided to go for a bite to eat at Nando's to rest our legs after all that walking around. In total we were at Bluewater for four and a half hours, but the time just flew, it was great. The centre wasn't even that busy, not sure if we got a lucky day or if its always like this but I have heard it gets busy at times.
Places to eat: The Food Court (fast food) Burger King Harry Ramsdens' McDonalds EAT Krispy Kremes KFC
The Water Circus (restaurants) Tootsies Nando's Pizza Express Pizza Hut La Tasca TGI Fridays Yo! Sushi
How to get there: By car - at a place called Greenhithe, 2 miles from M25 Junction 2 By bus - there are over 60 buses an hour to and from bluewater By train - 130 trains per day
Tel: 0870 777 0252
Conclusion: I thought that Bluewater shopping centre was a fantastic place to go and spend the day. You can have an enjoyable shopping trip without the hassle of wondering where you are going to park the car or if there is such and such a shop AND there are loads of places to eat afterwards or during your trip, depending upon whether you want a sit down meal or an ice cream. I would definitely recommend it and will be returning soon.
Advantages: many choices. Disadvantages: too crowded.
Last Sunday I visited Bluewater and I really enjoyed it.
Bluewater is a very big shopping mall which located in Kent. The size of Bluewater is almost as a small village.
It has attracted more and more people from and outside the UK since 1999.
The building of Bluewater is a triangular shape with big glass ceilings. There are many sculptures with different themes on the inside walls.
There are over 300 different shops in Bluewater. The big three ... ...But this M&S in Bluewater seems very popular with all ages of customers. There are always long queues waiting for you when you want to try in the fitting rooms or to pay on the counters.
It’s the first time I found I have many choices in M&S. I was in difficulty to decide which one I should buy.
There are numerous restaurants and fast food chains that provide worldwide meals.
Two restaurants impressed me. One was YO Sushi, a Japanese food. It ...

Advantages: everything you could want under one roof Disadvantages: can get addicted to the place!!
Bluewater is a godsend! It has everything (well virtually everything you need all under one roof, a triangle one at that). Bluewater was built in an old chalk pit and is absolutely massive. In recent times it has become quite popular with the chavs of Dartfords/Gravesend/Northfleet/Swanley but a ban on hoodies has meant that some of them are now staying away - thank god!
Bluewater has all the shops you could wish for. John Lewis, Marks and Spencer ... ...River Island.
The layout of Bluewater mean that the majority of designer stores (French Connection, Miss Sixty, Morgan, Tommy Hilfiger etc) are all located along one side of the triangle. So you spend all your hard earned wages in one go!! After all that shopping, you can go and grab a bite to eat i the Food Court. There you will find the usual mix of KFC, Pizza Hut, Maccy D's, Spuds u Like, Fish and Chips. But one thing I will say is if you fancy ...

Advantages: Great for the family Disadvantages: A little difficult to reach by road
Contrary to popular belief, Southend, or ‘Saaarfend’ as many prefer to pronounce it, has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in the South-East of England, not least due to it’s many appearances on EastEnders.
Many tourist attractions are currently available to the public, with more and more attractions opening all the time.
The most popular of which, the Southend High Street is the most popular of which, very popular with those who are tired of large shoppingcenters such as Lakeside or Bluewater, and allows shopping in the open air, in a car-free environment.
Another popular attraction, Southend’s ‘Golden Mile’ allows visitors to stroll up and down the seafront to admire the beach and passing boats, whilst also relaxing on the traditional English deckchairs, eating ice creams ...
Advantages: Loads of Different Shops as well as bars and a cinema Disadvantages: Probably very busy during January
Living near Reading we get all your usual Shopping centre shops such as Burtons and Topshop, I mean dont get me wrong these are good shops but every now and again you need some variety in where you shop.
It seems a shame that we had to drive half way round the M25 on a Tuesday morning to go to a decent shoppingCenter which actually had some different shops.
The main reason for the visit in all truth was that me and a mate had a day off and decided we'd go check it out as we'd heard so much about it from people.
The suprise we got when driving up the road and our first site of a huge shoppingcenter built into a quary (if its not i appologize but thats what it looks like)
But Bluewater had exactly what we were looking for from our own local Shops the flagship stores such as O'Neill and Animal with there products ...
Advantages: Near Bluewater Disadvantages: The Chav's
as young as possible. Preferably when you’re still in school!
Anyway, as soon as you by pass the Chav’s, you are then graced with a highstreet that is full of shops named “Pound Stretcher”, “Pound Shop”, etc. I really can’t see why anyone would ever want to shop here, when a 20 minute car journey brings you to Bluewater (A huge and quality shoppingcenter). So as night descends upon Gravesend where can you get a drink or a bite to eat? Well I was unable to find anywhere! Wherever you went you couldn’t help but think this was a local town for local people. I seemed to stick out like a sore thumb wherever I went and I felt people starring at you from all angles. Not nice.
So let’s get on to the good points of Gravesend. If you like football they have a football team (Gravesend ...
