The Boat That Rocked focuses on a pirate radio ship, called Radio Rock, broadcasting to the teenagers of the sixties. This review is based entirely on seeing the film at the cinema so who knows what extras they will add to the dvd to tempt buyers. I must say that the cinema was almost empty when we saw the film which was a bonus as we could pick the perfect seats and were spared the usual cinema annoyances of chatting individuals and flickering mobile phone screens.
