Money might not grow on trees but Shea nuts do. The trees primarily favour the semi-arid conditions found in Western Africa where they grow naturally. BurkinaFaso, one of the world?s poorest countries, is said to have the most abundance of trees. Primarily farmed by women in rural areas, it?s nickname there is ?woman?s gold?.
So, although there?s an abundance of the nuts waiting to be harvested in theory, the price is probably reflective of it?s popularity in developed countries. Shea butter, or milk, is widely used in moisturisers, mostly at the higher end of the market. It?s known to soften skin, and is also found in many hair conditioners besides this L?Occitane range.
It?s also recommended to help improve skin conditions such as eczema ...

Ingredients wise it contains mangoes and milk chocolate (minimum 34% cocoa solids!) The mangoes are produced in BurkinaFaso (which is in Africa), the cocoa comes from Bolivia and the sugar from the Philippines.

A bar will set you back 85 pence, it is quite expensive, but I found it to be really quality.
** What is it like? **
You open the wrapper, and you find a long thin bar covered in milk chocolate.
It smells very much like a strong Swiss chocolate, very nice! But not surprising as they are made by a Swiss company.
Breaking a piece off you can see the thick chocolate outer coating, and the soft inner. The inner is a sort of dark brown colour, and quite pliable. If you are used to seeing ...

Passengers wishing to go to the destinations on the short haul flights have convenient connections through Accra, as these shorter flights are quite frequent.
They also have joint ventures or affiliations with a few other airlines and can therefore offer different destinations (using some sectors with other airlines but with there cheap fare base) such as Dubai, Beirut, Addis Ababa etc.
In view of the immense competition from other airlines, Ghana Airways have faired quite well.
At present there are many airlines operating too ...
