Bocagrande del Mar Hotel, Cartagena

Advantages: Natural Beauty, no crowds.
Disadvantages: Aranged trips, not a lot of freedom to move.

...To arrive to Colombia's "Islas del Rosario" is really very easy as there are a wide selection of tours that depart from Cartagena, these day trips are complete, you are collected from your hotel in the morning by chiva (typical open sided bus). These busses then take you to the port where depending on the chosen tour you board small to medium size boats that take you in around 1 hour to the islands, Safety on these boats is taken very seriously and everyone is supplied with a life vest. During this trip over water the guides explain the history of the bay of Cartagena which is very interesting. Advantages: Great location & cheap

...I visited Barcelona this July and stayed at the Hotel Hesperia Del Mar for five nights with 3 other friends and I have to honestly say we all loved it! The hotel price which we got from expedia was one of the most competitive around and we were pleasantly surprised when we got to the hotel, for how cheap the hotel was it was quite nice. It cost for five night my share was 145 so the entire room cost was 290. The hotel reception staff were the highlight of the hotel. They are very friendly, warm and always willing to help! The rooms were standard and offered everything we needed. The bathroom was fully equipped with a shower, toilet, bidet and sink with large mirror. The bedroom consisted of 2 single beds and were comfy. There is air conditioning so we never felt hot and flustered in the room unless we turned it off and forgot to put... Read review

Advantages: Plenty to do for everyone
Disadvantages: was only there a week

...I've just got back from Ibiza, had a great time. San Antanio had two sides to it, there was the clubbing side and the chilled out side, thats why I loved it so much. I went to some great bars, watched the sun set, and went to Cream at Amnesia. My hotel was right on the beach, and next to two big clubs, the hotel room had a lovel sea view, it was in a great location. I spent most of the day on the beach, then at night i'd chill out in one of the cool bars. For anyone going to Ibiza, make sure you watch the sun set from one of the bars because there is such a great atmosphere there. I watched it from cafe del mar, somebody took our photo there and put it on the internet . I'd defiantely recommend going to Ibiza.... Read review
