I first stumbled upon the Boilerhouse 9 years ago when I was 15, merry on Alcopops and cider, and feeling flush with a whole ten pounds in my pocket.

Advantages: Good Bassline house tunes Disadvantages: Fairly similar to a public toilet
...place is most definately a boiler house. A damp smelly mist just suspends in the air above peoples heads, threatening to suffocate you. The floor is constantly wet and dirty and thats at the start of the night believe it not. Its basically like going to a rave in a public toilet.
The toilets are absolutely disgusting - there are only 3 cubicles for us girlies where the loo seats are all broken and the doors don't even lock. The sinks ... ...managed to stay at the Boiler House till 7am but by then the place is dead - you'll have seen more life in a tramps vest, so its a place good for a couple of hours good music and nothing else.
If your out to pull then don't bother - youv'e got more chance of seeing Lord Lucan riding Shegar than you have of pulling a potential partner in this joint.

~FIRST IMPRESSION~
Can't really remember as I was fairly drunk at the time but due to having been a few times since then, I can honestly say the place is an absolute cesspit... The place is situated near a train station and is the club itself is located in a building thats seen better days - with blacked out windows. The doormmen are fairly rude to begin with but once they've seen you a couple of times they're ok.
The only reason I went back is because the music is good and basically theres nothing else open at such a time.
~OPENING/CLOSING TIMES~
Opens at 12pm and closes at 9am - therefore good for insomniacs.
~ENTRY PRICE & DRESS CODE~
£6 BEFORE 2AM - £8 AFTER.
Dress code is basically Rockport shoes and jeans but no stripey shirts (???) and no trainers please. Even though there is a dress code the place is full of tramps and thugs who want to smash your face in, even if you so much as ask them the way to the toilets.
~CLUB INTERIOR~
The club interior is a shambles. The decor or should I say lack of it has definately seen better days. As soon as you walk into the club the first thing that hits you is other peoples sweat - The place is most definately a boiler house.
The sinks are constantly blocked with tissue - and other things... believe me I've seen some shocking things in those toilets. Things might have changed since I was last in there - a year ago - but I doubt it. I've been a few times and its never changed. I made the mistake of going into the blokes once, in the hope of not having to endure the horror of the womens loos but I made a swift exit followed by the urge to be sick - what the hell do men do in there?!
The club is very small with one floor and one bar. Beware the bar only serves lollipops/water/Lucozade after 2pm. The club consists of a dance floor which gets rammed with people and a chill out area which is a wall of mirrors and a long bench-like-seat . You'll often see people having conversations with themselves in this area so be warned. Overall the place is a complete s**thole.
"Why do you continue to go there!" I hear you cry simultaneously - why? because the music is rocking.. I just love Bassline house and its so loud it makes your heart quiver and your feet dance. They have events on every now and then where they'll introduce up and coming DJ's but the music always remains the same. The music is the only thing the place has going for it.
I've managed to stay at the Boiler House till 7am but by then the place is dead - you'll have seen more life in a tramps vest, so its a place good for a couple of hours good music and nothing else.
If your out to pull then don't bother - youv'e got more chance of seeing Lord Lucan riding Shegar than you have of pulling a potential partner in this joint.
All in all if you don't like bassline house then avoid this place like you would avoid the plague.
