Chowpatty - a neckless beach of Mumbai
Advantages: location, bhelpuri, other spicy food Disadvantages: crowdy, chaos in evening, irritating vendors
Chowpatty beach is situated in south Mumbai. It is one of the popular beach after Juhu in Mumbai for family hangout.
It start from Marine lines or Nariman Point, posh commercial area of Mumbai and end at Walkeshwar, posh residential area of Mumbai. The whole road makes a shape of neckless so known as neckless. One can better see it from hanging garden which is on slight hill of right hand side of beach.
Chowpatty is more famous for vendors of Bhelpuri ... ...honestly my idea of visiting chowpatty is bhelpuri rather than beach.
In the evening time it is full of children and families sometimes creating chaos. You will not get quiet corner on this beach as vendors keep coming to you for selling watches, flowers, food, mats and so on. So if you want to see the sea and sit for sometime it is not good destination for you. ...
