Mumbai derives its name from Mumba Devi a local diety worshipped by the Maratha fisher folk of the region. Mumba Devi is the goddess of sea and according to folklores she blessed the region and took care of the Fisherman community. Mumbai (Bombay) The Blissfully Polluted City

Advantages: You will never get bored
Disadvantages: The sights of poverty and squarlor may be too much to take

My parents never really enjoyed staying in Mumbai, it was too loud and over-crowded for them. However I loved every second of being there. There was always so much going on that you never seem to get bored. And if you ever felt you needed a change of environment, you could easily jump into the many taxi's roaming about and ask the driver to whisk you away to another location. Mumbai....memorable day

Advantages: Full of everything...
Disadvantages: Most crowd makes people more tired.

Mumbai, cant miss on tour of India

Advantages: very developed compare to other part of India, food, nice people
Disadvantages: crowd and humid weather
