The Booth Museum, Brighton

Advantages: Free admission, lots to see
Disadvantages: None for me

The Booth Museum is located on Brighton's suburban back streets well away from the town centre but having said that it is on Dyke Road (the A2010) which is one of the major routes through the town and so it is relatively easy to find.

The museum is named after the Victorian natural historian Edward Thomas Booth who spent much of his life in Brighton. Primarily it houses his personal collection of stuffed birds but there are also animals, ...

The Booth Museum is open at the following times:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 10am-5pm
Sunday 2pm-5pm

Facilities include a small gift shop that is strategically located at the reception in the entrance meaning that you need to pass by this when you first enter the museum and also again when you leave. There are toilets ... more

Eventually they came to an explaination to this seemingly very odd discovery. Basically, what happened, the toad in its tadpole stage of life ...
...than the toad: The Booth Museum includes fanastic collections of bird displays. There are literally hundreds of different breeds of Britains beloved beaked friends. These include the Golden Eagle, beautiful peacocks, and Brighton's favourite visitor: the seagull. Currently there is a display of bones, artwork, and reconstructions of what the extinct Dodo would have looked like. My personal favourite is the Insect intersection. I was speechless ...
