Anyone for Tea?
Review of Boston by nicnak172004

Advantages: Less busy than other major US cities, Friendly, Tax Free Shopping
Disadvantages: Not Many

Boston is one of those rare places which has the thriving feel of a modern, cosmopolitian city whilst still be able to retain its natural culture heritage. If you are looking to find the heart of American history then this is the place for you but if you are also looking for somewhere that can be enjoyed by the whole family then Boston also has something to offer. A good way to get an overview of the city itself is to make use of the famous Duck ...
...idea if your stay in Boston is only a short one as it will allow you to see the majority of the main attractions in a short space of time. Please be aware that it is usually required that you book the tour prior to the day you actually want to go on these tours and it is advisable to go for a tour early in the day, when it will be far less busy. Aside from the Duck Tours, Boston has alot to offer in terms of culture. During the summer (around independence ... Read review

Review of Boston by wasup123

Advantages: great shopping, great sports team, great historic sites, great attractions, 6 hours away from Europe.
Disadvantages: i can't think of any

BOSTON is one of the best cities in America, i should know because i am from there. Boston is a great city it isn't to big. There are great shopping places Copley Place and Newbury Street and don't forget The Galleria. Best for shopping on reasonable budgets. If you go there to see the scenery then the best is the Duck tour, its great, Boston also has a lot of historic sites. For sports I remember having a great time watching the Boston Red Soxs, ... BOSTON IN DECEMBER
Review of Boston by purdy

Advantages: Excellent dollar rate, laid back city
Disadvantages: Spent too much shopping and did not get to see the famous New England Fall trees!

...could have flown direct to Boston with the likes of British Airways or Virgin Atlantic – but we would not have gained air miles and membership miles (l know its sad!) The overall flight took from 8.55am and we arrived into Boston around 2pm (-5 GMT). So it was just over 10 hours – a direct flight would take over 7 hours to get you into Boston. We did loose our luggage between Washington and Boston – there was a very tight turn ...
...across the Charles River from Boston City itself – this was very easily accessible from the airport – the T (Boston metro system) took us from the airport changing once directly to the T stop, which happened to be about 2 minutes from the front door of our hotel. We stated at the Harvard Square Hotel – a doubletree chain – nothing special but it was perfectly adequate – clean, normal sized, TV, fridge, hairdryer & tea ... Read review

Review of Boston by stevethesleeve

Advantages: Historic, culturally diverse and not too huge a city.
Disadvantages: Not many, unless you don't like cities, or America, or fish.

...Very. More later. Boston in October, when the sun is shining, the Redsox are playing well, the leaves are just doing their New England Fall Color thing...what a treat! Getting paid to be there...what a total delight! Look, this isn’t getting us down to the nitty-gritty of what Boston is like for a visitor, this is just shilly-shallying around to garner a few laughs (Well OK...smiles then) while you try to get your thoughts in some semblance of ...
...and towns in the USA, Boston was built before cars were thought of, so no tidy ‘grid’ system of street layout applies, all go into the mix to make driving, or being driven, a frustrating and protracted affair. So anyway...where was I? Ah yes, walking back to Copley Place from Memorial Drive, on the other side of the river. My route took me along the banks of the Charles River, and through a beautiful stretch of parkland through which half of Boston’s ... Read review
