I visited Boston some 3 years ago. I would describe it as one of the best trips I have ever experienced during my short 18 year life. I found it a place for all ages. You have many sports teams all whose stadiums are easily reachable, ideal for kids to experience. You then have a historic side to Boston which appeals to all ages. There are several museums full of history. The Boston Tea party figures heavily down at the docks. But there is also huge shopping malls for those who like to experience different shopping cultures. The central part of the city is full of colour and wonderful markets each offering an insight into the culture and way of life. The nightlife is anything but dull for young trendy club go'ers with hundreds of pubs and clubs open to mix with the locals. I also found the inhabitants of Boston to be some of the nicest people I've met. Everyone had time for you and loved listening to where you had come from - not to mention the Scottish accent. I visited Boston in October - right in the middle of the fall. Some of the scenery away form the main centre was breathtaking. And the weather wasn't exactly freezing cold. There was a mild temperature - just pleasent enough to enjoy each day although rain did appear in short burts on some days but even then there was something indoors to do. We stayed with relatives therefore hotel prices didn't come into the equation although to stay in the centre would probaly be quite hefty there are plenty of places on the outskirts not to mention B & B every where you turned. And if you do head there remember to take a aqua-duck tour. A unique tour of thecity on a bus that is both driveable on land and in the water. Quite an experience. I plan to go back in the future. A quite amazing city.

You have a good start with your review of Boston, but it is way too general in its statement for me to make any definite decisions about the trip I'm currently planning. Please be more specific about the attractions you saw and provide a little more detail of your personal experience visiting them. I hope I enjoy going there as much as you did. --Adrienne

I was in Boston last year in March and like you enjoyed it very much. Your op is quite good, but you could provide some more detail (Beacon Hill, Freedom Trail, Waterfront, Little Italy, Chinatown, etc.). Your opinion would also be easier to read if you included more breaks between paragraphs.

A very informative op - one piece of feedback - it is much easier to read if the op is split into shorter paragraphs. Cheers, Phil.
