The hotel itself was approx £50 per night for a twin room. Not the cheapest in town but by no means the most expensive. It is situated directly underneath the castle on the danube, about 2-3mins walk from the edge of the old town.

As such the rooms are boat-cabin sized. 2 single beds on either side of a small gangway, with a very small bathroom (about 1.5metres by 1.5 metres), a wardrobe, tv and phone. The hotel is decorated immaculately, and very "boat like". Reception is well presented, all the staff are helpful, and its very clean.

Having said this they are designed to make the most of the little space. Pleasant views out of the small windows though - one side views the danube and the new town, the other views the castle. There is a minibar, and its quite cheap. Nothing more than 55sk (£1)
The hotel has little in terms of facilities apart from a restaurant and a bar. Having said this, the restaurant was excellent. Generally a 3 course meal and drink wouldnt cost much more than £10, unless you had the speciality fish. If anything we felt slightly out of place because the restaurant was so nice, it was like eating somewhere a lot pricier.
The below deck bar was pleasant, and low priced (around £1.50 for most drinks) although this was more expensive than the non-touristy places in town. It was slightly draughty, but considering it was minus 10degrees, and the danube was part frozen underneath us, it wasnt bad.
The hotel can arrange a taxi transfer for you to the airport. It was both cheaper and more luxurious than the taxis.
Just to note, i wouldnt stay here if i was disabled or had young children. Access is via a gangplank, which varies in height depending on the water level, and can be quite steep. There is also nowhere to park a car at the hotel.
What the hotel does offer is well presented, but dont expect a swimming pool, or gym.
Bratislava itself was lovely, but there is not quite enough to fill a full week if you arent venturing further afield.I would reccomend going mon-fri if you want to avoid the stag parties.Tourism is relatively new, but tourist traps do exist. It is possible to eat excellent meals very cheaply (eg chez david). It is also possible to have very very expensive meals that are distinctly average (medusa), especially in parts of the old town. Check the prices before you eat.
There is plenty to see in Bratislava. But if you do run out, vienna is 1 hour by train for about £5 off peak. It may look a bit intimidating at first but if theres a few of you, walk to Bratislavas southern station (south of the danube in the concrete high rise area). I found it very interesting to walk through all the residential areas (not many people actually live in the old town).
Take a trip up the ufo (a tower on the riverside), spectacular views over the city. There is a restaurant up there, but you pay higher prices than in town.
If i went back to Bratislava, i would definitely stay again at the botel. The rooms may be small, but it is enjoyable nonetheless.
