Bowlers is only a nightclub on a Saturday night, the rest of the time it is a sports center. There are some people that could mistake it for a sports center on a Saturday night also as most of the crowd are dressed in sportswear and trainers. This is definately not a club for posers, it is ideal for people who love dance music of one sort or another. The rooms vary in musical style dependant on which week of the month you attend. The main styles are house and garage, hardcore, drum & bass and trance & techno. It is only open until 2am which is a shame, as with the 8,000 person capacity, amazing DJ's and a huge sound and lighting rig, the atmosphere can be and usually is phenominal.
Advantages: unique capital city, cheap, friendly people Disadvantages: high altitide can cause problems
alpaca wool items, bowler hats and other typically Bolivian souvenirs at incredibly low prices.

Advantages: It's not Bradford (though actually I quite like Bradford, I just don't want to stay there) Disadvantages: Looking a bit dated and next time I'll let the tyres down on the delivery truck
For those not so familiar with Yorkshire geography, Bingley is a real place and not just a bowler hatted character from the Bradford and Bingley bank adverts. It's located just to the north west of Bradford, nestled amongst some really pretty hilly scenery. To be fair, I couldn't have told you precisely where it was until I stayed there when visiting a factory in Bradford, about a 15 minute drive away. The hotel is just off a dual carriageway and was remarkably quiet considering how close the road was.
First Impressions
My first impressions on pulling into the car park were quite positive; the main hotel building really does look like a slightly spooky grand gothic castle complete with a turret.
