Vila Bela Vista was fantastic! With Marico and Patricia's relaxed, friendly hospitality we really did feel like VBV was our home. Our room was fabulous, sparkling clean, had a generously sized bathroom and a comfy bed. Each morning we were served a tasty, healthy brekky with lots of choice. ...some places in Brasil, but Vila Bela Vista is the nicest my girlfriend and me have been to. Not only the rooms are clean and the place offers a pool, but the staff cares with little details like flowers on the bed and in the bathroom. Definitly the best place to spend your precious holiday with the one you love. My husband and I stayed at VBV for 4 days, just prior to Carnaval. We were looking for rest and relaxation and we certainly found it there! Our room was spacious, very clean, and quiet. We were very glad that we weren't right next door to all the bars! It was a very short (5min) walk to the beach or to the main streets. The food at the Pousada was excellent! We ate dinner there one night with the owners and it seemed more like having dinner with ...
...away full and satisfied with the price too. The owners and staff were very helpful to us in suggesting places to eat, offering advice on things to do, and tipped us off as to how much to expect to pay for excursions, which we organized ourselves. Despite the fact that I speak Portuguese, these tips were very helpful to us and allowed us to negotiate better prices with the locals. I recommend VBV highly and would definitely stay there again. Advantages: Quiet place to relax and staff and owners very friendly
Disadvantages: Far from the main street (10 min. walking) although they offer a charriot to take and pick us there

...wife stayed during carnival at Vila Bela Vista. We were looking for peace and to relax too. We had both! The place is far from the centre (10 minutes walking) which means we do not heard any noise from outside (only the coconut trees leaves) and near to the beach where we went every morning to walk.
