Dinard- Brittanies jewel
Advantages quiet quant very french
Disadvantages not a party town
Dinard is on the north coast of Brittany in France. It is small town that once was the favourite holiday destination of Queen Victoria.
If you are looking for a party holiday this is probably not for you. However if you want a relaxing time in a beautiful location then this could be juat right. The bars are friendly and the locals are as well if you make the effort to try a little french. Tyhe food is some of the best in France and so in the world.
Eating out is an experience to be savoured and the French take hours over a meal. The beach is clean, sandy and relatively empty and other beaches are within easy reach.
The area around Dinard is also full of beuty and suprises. A trip o Dinan (30 kms away) is well worth it as it has a street where artist own every shop. you can see painters, scultures, and even hand glass blowers at work and purchase the items they are making.Dinard is a short drive from St Malo and a ferry from portsmouth to St Malo runs daily
