Brewers Fayre Dunelm Ridge, Durham

Introduction --------------- Young Miss M had decided, her fourth birthday party would be at Brewster Bears in Durham. Off course its not called Brewster Bears anymore, its now the Brewers fayre, Dunelm Ridge. This is a large pub/restaurant that is now part of the Whitbread chain, it can be found just off of the A167 about half way between Durham and Chester le Street. You come off at the roundabout signposted for the Arnison Centre/ Pitty Me and turn right at the Premier Travel Inn and Brewers Fayre signs just before you get to the Arnison Centre itself. Very bad experience here. We waited 50 minutes for food & when I went back to the bar to get a refund I was not given an apology nor did he attempt to see where our food was. When he refunded me he gave us our money for the food but had the cheek to charge us for our drinks. Also when I got my credit card statement in they did not refund me my money & I therefore had to send a copy of my credit card statement & the refund receipts (which luckily I kept as the barman didn't seem to have clue what he was doing). Not good for parking if you have children also. Had to get them our the car before ... more
