A good pit stop on the A50
Advantages: Accessible from the A50, clean and nice menu range Disadvantages: No little bags for the children

The Racecourse is situated on the A50 at Uttoxeter, you must exit the A50 at the Derby Road roundabout which heads into Uttoxeter and then turn right into the car park.
This establishment is attached to a Premier Travel Inn incidently and if you are not stopping at the Alton Towers Hotel itself this is probably the nearest reputable place to stay for visiting, with that in mind at certain times in the summer it will get booked early.
Anyway, the Racecourse has a tarmac car park and un-made up parking spaces - I'm not proficient to comment on if this is an issue for wheel chairs. Access to the Racecourse is via a fully disabled access waalk way - it is possible to sit outside but whether you want the noise of the A50 is something for your own taste.
Inside is clean and presentable - this counts for heaps I have found after a bad experience in Bournemouth at a Harvester. Previously when it was a Brewers Fayre you did get small entertainment bags for children - this no longer occurs but there is still a childrens menu with a good diverse range. What I like is that Table Table do take orders at the Table, which is particularly useful if you are a lone adult travelling with children. The adults menu provides a good range too and there are offers on Mondays to Fridays where 2 can dine for £10 if ordering before 6.30pm from a selected range on the menu. There is also a lunchtime menu available. All of which are available to view on their website.
It is not a large seating capacity and at peak times - Mothers Day, Valentines etc you may be required to book or wait for a table.
Nectar points can still be earned here too, so don't forget your card. This establishment also serves as the breakfast area for the Premier Inn it is attached to, so you don't need to go outside to gain entrance.

...are aware of several friends who have also had bad dining experiences at The Racecourse - a lost opportunity and certainly does nothing for the reputation of Brewers Fayre.
Please note these comments refer to The Racecourse restaurant on the A50 at Uttoxeter and not the Uttoxeter [horse racing] racecourse. ...
