We visted our local Brewers Fayre as a treat for my children . When we arrived at about 2pm it was busy but not packed . We sat at a table had a drink then my husband went to oder our meal . He was gone ages as there was only one person taking orders . We waited for an hour before my husband asked where our meal was to which we were told it would be with us in 10 minutes. After 15 minutes i went inside to complain and was told our meal would be with us in 10 minutes ! . I asked what there complaints procedure was and they didn't know so they got me the manager and he told me that everyone had been told when they ordered their meal it would be an hour . This wasn't true as my husband was told nothing . The manger then went to the kitchen and told me our plates were out and they were waiting for the food to be put on so ur meal would be with us in 5 minutes ! 15 minutes later i went back in to complain again to be told by the manager that he only told me what he had been told in the kitchen . By this point i was livid at being messed around and had 2 hungry children who was waiting for their dinner (which was supposed to be a late lunch) . I told the manager i wanted a refund which he said i could have . As the manager was doing the refund our meal arrived , the manager still gave thr refund which was good as i really didn't enjoy the meal and will definatly not be going there again .I was not the only person in there complaining either people were having to wait alot longer than us & the lucky people who did get their meals found some of them to be sub standard . ! I over heard somebody ask for details of the head office but the manager starting mumbling something about there being an office upstairs but wouldn't give the address of the head office

I have had the same experience in Bedford. I wrote to head office, (check it out on the net). I got £25.00 in vouchers and went to another BF. That experience was so much better. Louise

The last couple of times I have eaten at Brewer's Fayre, the food has been prompt but distinctly unexciting.
