...We first stayed at the LondonBridgeHotel on the recommendation of Great Rail Journeys as an overnight stop before travelling on Eurostar from Waterloo. Today, with Eurostar having moved to St Pancras the LondonBridgeHotel is no longer used by Great Rail Journeys but it is now our first choice for accommodation if we are in London to see a West End Show.
The hotel is right in the hub of things but when you step through the door you are in a different world. A world of cheerful and polite staff that do everything to make your stay a special occasion.
The rooms are beautifully furnished and exceptionally clean with robes and slippers in the wardrobe for your personal use.

Advantages: Pleasant Staff, Good Customer Service, Nice Breakfast Disadvantages: Expensive
...The Victoria Park Plaza in London is an amazing hotel that has very comfortable, quality rooms and staff who are friendly and professional. The best thing about The Victoria Park Plaza is that it is in a prime position just two minutes from Victoria Station and an easy walk to some of London's main attractions. I found it perfect for shopping and buying souvenirs. There were also quite a number of restaurants close by and my mum who cannot walk far didn't complain once. Although we ate at the hotel we also sampled London's China Town.
It is a four star hotel and lives up to the standard. It is situated close to Buckingham Palace, Harrods, Westminster Abbey and Houses of Parliament. The hotel does not allow smoking anywhere near the building which my mum and I really appreciated because we are both none smokers. The smoking ban made...

Advantages: Beautiful area, lovely to stroll around Disadvantages: None
...***Background***
Having left the Wild West town of Oatman, we headed down the old route 66 until it joined on to Route 95. This was a beautiful section of road and we thoroughly enjoyed this historic road especially as it took us past the lovely Topock Bay. Turning on to LondonBridge Road just past Lake Havasu Airport is the best road into this lovely town, as it takes you right down the lakeside and gives you a chance to explore this area a little bit before heading into the main attraction of LondonBridge.
Lake Havasu City is in Arizona but only around 5 miles from the Californian Border. The Lake is part of the Colorado River although this section was much prettier than the muddy waters that we had seen around the Canyon area. The Lake was formed when Parker Dam was built in the 1930's and is a haven for wildlife around...
