A Cynic's Guide to Brighton

Advantages: See review . . . .
Disadvantages: See review

...Contrary to popular belief, Brighton is not a relaxing, cultured or enthralling destination. Far be it from me to suggest that Brighton is a tacky and decadent city, but it is. If one travels by train then the disappointment starts in the very early stages as you indulge yourself in the pleasure of travelling with bastard rail - I apologise, British Rail. What a marvellous company they are, beyond parallel in their incompetence and ineptitude. I ...
...to visit is the famous Brighton Pier, famous for its wonderful array of facilities and entertainment which must be said with a certain generosity of spirit. However, in my opinion it’s fame somewhat differs from reality. I would strongly recommend that you steer clear of the arcade. Unless of course you enjoy having bright red and yellow lights blasted at your face repeatedly to the extent where your eyes start to bleed or having screaming ...

...finished my first year of Brighton Uni and thought I would give you all a upto date review of the University and its Halls... I came to Brighton because I loved the place, I came for a weekend away with my mates about a year before deciding to go to Uni and I absolutely loved it, I couldn't see myself being anywhere else and from that moment on I decided I would go to Brighton regardless of what the Uni was like (that's love for you). Why did I like ...
...anything like the South, and Brighton truely is the creme de la creme. I visited the Uni open day and really was not impressed with the presentation I saw, I couldn't help but compare it to one I had seen a couple of weeks earlier for the same course, different Uni. I accepted my place to Brighton anyway and was thoroughly excited to be moving there after summer! This is when I found out what halls I would be living in. I'm pretty fussy, I wanted ...

...about what I think of Brighton and what my experiences were there. 1.) Transport In general getting from London to Brighton is easy. Why? Because there are frequent trains going there and back several times a day. I have spent around 40 pounds altogether for the train tickets. The train station closes at around two am and than opens at a quarter to five am. If you plan to use the buses more frequently, than I recommend you to get a universal ticket ...
...middle of Brighton. - Brighton pier I have spent quite some time on the pier. There is a large funfair, lots of restaurants and lots of arcade halls - there is some serious gaming going on, it's like you are in a different world ( very addictive, I lost more than won). There is also the West pier but I haven't been on it. - the seaside Who doesn't like the seaside? It is beautiful and there is numerous of sites from where you can just watch the ...

MY TIME AT BRIGHTON

Advantages: attractions
Disadvantages: pebble beaches

I recently went to Brighton to visit a very dear school friend of mine. Whilst I was there I went for walks and got some wonderful pictures which I have yet to download onto my computer. I stayed with my friend and her family and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I am thinking of moving there as I find where I live very boring with no nightlife. I met someone whilst I was there but I will write about that another time. I was made very welcome whilst ...

...presents from the part of Brighton called the lanes.I must say the pubs are ok if you have a wheel barrow of cash, but i would not move here unless i was earning about £400+ a Week because of High rentals. If you are looking to move to Brighton & have a tight budget then forget it,you will need about £800 just to get you a veiwing in a 1 Bedroom flat, maybee £600 for a Studio/bedsit & a pile's of refs. There is plenty of work thow,so this no excuse not ...
...its a good place to visit, but One or Two of you will not want to miss the last Train home.Oh by the way,it's said that Mi5 have a microwave beam blasting people in the lanes area to subjue them, you can enter that in a UK search engine & you will see what i mean!!!! ...
